Prompt: Person A and Person B are just friends (for now), but they're snuggle buddies. By the end of the night, they're more than just friends.
The person who's contest this entry is for is @shroomyshroom99
Pairing: Jasden (Jayden and Jason, Jay owned by me, Jason owned by @NathanTheAlien- who had also helped a bit with writing this)
It was late at night, 10:30 to be exact. And what were Jayden Cook and Jason Collins doing? They were running around in the rain. Jay ignored his common sense and decided to run around with Jason when he had abandoned his couch. Jason had just been trying to make things well, not awkward. Him and Jay had been sitting together while watching a horror movie, unfortunately Jase had gotten scared and had jumped into Jay's lap. Throughout the rest of the movie, Jase had pulled Jay close to him and hid his face in the crook of his neck. Jay only responded to this by teasing Jase.
But they both recognized that awkward tension. That mentioned awkward tension immediately had melted away when they started chasing each other in the rain. It was fun- for both of them.
Well, it had been until the thunder and lightning had started. When the first bolt of lightning had appeared, followed by the roaring of the thunder, Jase had jumped up at the sudden sound, thus causing Jay to tease him even more.
"H-hey! It's not my fault it was so loud!"
"That may be true, but it was your fault that you got scared "
"How the heck is that my fault?!"
"'Cause you're a scaredy cat. You could be less scared of everything if you just stopped and calmed down a bit."
"Says the guy who freaks out and literally flips tables when he doesn't get his coffee in the morning."
"Well coffee fuels me in the morning, I'm practically helpless when I don't have any."
"Helpless? That's not what the tables would say." The smug grin on Jason's face kept getting bigger by the second.
"Oh shut up idiot," Jay growls as he smacks Jase in the back of the head. Jase glares at him and is caught off guard when he sneezes. The two boys stand in silence for a few minutes. Jay of he breaks this silence as he breaks into hysterics.
Then he stops when he sneezes. Jase can hardly hold back his laughter. Soon enough, his laughter gets the better of him and it's now his turn to hysterically laugh at his friend.
"Oh my gosh! You sneeze like a kitten!"
"Shut," Jay sneezes again, "up."
Unfortunately for Jay, this only causes Jase to laugh even harder. The laughing session is cut short though, when the lighting and thunder gets closer and louder. Looking at each other, they nod and scramble into the nearby tree house. Once inside, Jay collapses onto the floor and Jase grabs a blanket that he had kept in there. He wraps it around Jay as he sits down over by the doorway, but not too close so that he doesn't get drenched.
Sighing, Jay stands up and walks over to Jase, and wraps the blanket around both of them. Surprised, Jase looks over towards Jay. Seeing him this close made him realize exactly how handsome he was. Jase took this time to just drink in all of the details of Jay. Like how his hair was messy, sticking up in every which way, or how his eyes were sparkling with happiness, or even how his right dimple went up a little higher than his left.
"Is something wrong?" Jason is snapped out of his trance when he hears Jay's voice.
"Nothing, it's nothing."
"Alright then, suit yourself." Jay shrugs and then looks as if he's deep in thought. After a moment he speaks again, "Hey, do you know any constellations?"
"Yeah, I," Jason pauses as he glances at Jayden and sighs, "I, um, used to look up at the stars every night, just imagining that Alex and Max were looking at them too. It was kind of a way to comfort myself... pretty dumb, huh?" Jason shifts away from Jay as he looks down at the ground.
"Dumb?" Jay questions as he scoots closer to Jason, "it's not dumb. In fact," Jay lightly grabs Jason's chin and pulls his head up so that he's looking at him, "I think it's beautiful, just like you."
Jason can't help but lean in towards Jay as his face heats up. Jay can't help it either. Soon enough, both boys are hugging each other and kissing. When they stop, they hold each other's hands and look outside. The rain has stopped, but their undying love for each other is only just starting.
