A demigod??? How? She should have been claimed by now, making her easier to track down. Well, Leo wasn't claimed in time. Maybe that was what was happening.

"You're a demigod? How!" I asked. Mia rolled her eyes.

"Well, when I was born, one of my parents was a god and-"

"-I know how demigods are made, but I just don't understand how you're a demigod. Shouldn't you have been claimed by now? I mean, you look about 15." I interrupted. Mia looked at me with distaste, then started crying. Leo and Travis ran over to her. This was starting to get ridiculous.

"Mia, are you okay?" Travis picked her up and started cradling her in his arms. Leo's eyes glowed for a second - at least I thought they did - and he pushed Travis.

"I want Mia. You don't get her! You don't deserve her." Leo snarled. I've never seen Leo get this angry before. (Well, except for when I "died"). Travis dropped Mia and started punching Leo. I saw Mia smile for a second. I was too startled to do anything, but Chelsea ran over.

"You guys, break it up." Chelsea said. Travis saw Chelsea and punched her in the nose. It started bleeding. Then he went back to punching Leo.

"Chelsea! Are you okay?" I asked. She nodded, but seemed angry at Travis.

"Boys, stop. You're causing me stress." Mia demanded. Leo and Travis stopped immediatly. "It's getting late. Make some dinner for me."

"We're not your slaves!" Chelsea exclaimed. Travis gasped.

"You don't want to have the honor of making Mia dinner! " Leo said.

"No, thanks. You guys can have the 'honor'." Chelsea spat back. Travis smiled dreamily at Mia and walked into the woods. Leo followed after him.

"I'll find something better!"

"No, I will!"

"Shut up!"

Once the boys were out of sight, or at least I couldn't hear them fighting anymore, I walked up to Mia. Chelsea was already there, trying to wipe up her bleeding nose.

"What did you do to them?" Chelsea asked.

"What do you mean?" Mia giggled.

"Oh, please, they've been going bonkers ever since you showed up. This  mission is failing, because of you. I'm a daughter of Hecate, goddess of magic. And I feel magic being used. Just take whatever curse you have off of them, and get out of here." Chelsea said. Mia just smiled and shook her head.

"What do you mean?" She repeated. I stared her down, looking into her eyes. Her beautiful glowing green eyes... You know, she seems like a nice girl...

Shake out of it, girl! She's controling you!  A voice in my head said. I shook my head, snapping out of the trance.

"Fine. If you won't deny anything about that, at least tell us who your godly parent is. Please. Just that." I pleaded. Mia started to shake her head, but then thought about it.

"Fine. You might not believe me, but my father is Poseidon." She told us.

How??? I thought the major gods made an oath not to have anymore children! Percy's the only one! At least I think he is. Now that I think about it, Percy and Mia both have green eyes and brown hair. Wierd... But still, if she's a daughter of Poseidon, how does she have magic? Talking about magic.... *lightbulb over head*....

"Chelsea! Come over here, quick!" I said, running over to a spot in the woods that was hidden by the trees so that Mia couldn't see me. Chelsea ran and caught up to me.

"What is is? Wait, Logan, why is there a light blulb hanging over your head?" She asked. Oh, great. When I get too excited, being the daughter of the god of light, sometimes lightbulbs will appear over my head. I swiped it and it dissapeared.

"No reason." I said quickly. Chelsea knows I can be weird, so she just laughed. Then I got to the plan. "Chelsea, you can use your magic to use a truth spell on Mia. then she'll have to tell us her plan! We can save Travis. Travis..." I started thinking about how cute he was.

"And Leo." Chelsea made sure. I got focused again and nodded. "It's a great plan, but I don't know if I can do it. I don't think that I'm powerful enough. But it's worth a shot." Chelsea closed her eyes and concentrated. A blue ball of light - magic - appeared in her hand. She opened her eyes, turned around, and threw it at Mia. It hit her in the head, then soaked into her. Mia didn't seem to notice.

"Was that supposed to happen?" I asked.

"I hope." Chelsea said, then we ran back over to Mia. Mia turned around at us, then growled.

"What was that?" Mia asked.

"A truth spell." Chelsea said confidently. "Now, what is your real plan?"

"You think that your magic would work on me? Hahaha" Mia laughed. "Well, it didn't. And I'm not going  to tell you my plan that easily." She turned back around.

"Told you it wouldn't work." Chelsea grumbled. "Now we'll never know."

"It's okay, Chelsea. At least now we know she's definetily up to something." I said. Chelsea shrugged. "You tried your best Chelsea. Stop beating yourself up." I said and punched her in the arm. She smiled.

"Yeah, I guess." Chelsea said. "Hey, shouldn't the boys be back by now?" As if on cue, Travis ran into the woods where we were staying with an alive rabbit in his hand. The bunny kept trying to hop out, but Travis had a good grip on it. He handed it to Mia, who smiled and pet the bunny.

"Don't tell me Mia is going to eat that." I whispered to Chelsea.

"I won't tell you it, but I think she might. Eww."

Mia started cutting up the bunny with a dagger that Travis gave her - remind me to take that away from her - and I shut my eyes. Poor bunny, I thought. I started rubbing my charm bracelet.

A few minutes later, after things had quieted down, I opened my eyes to see Travis staring at Mia, and Mia smiling, with her lips covered in blood. Gross. Were her eyes glowing? I blinked and looked again. they were fine. Probably just my imagination. I saw Travis, but not Leo.

"Chelsea, have you seen Leo?" I asked.

"No. Sorry." She told me.

"Travis? Mia? Have you seen Leo?"

"Oh, I saw him back in the woods a little while ago. He seemed a little, umm, caught up at the moment." Travis said and started bursting out laughing. He whipered something to Mia and she started to giggle with him. What's so funny? I guess I'll find out soon.

"I'm gonna go look for him. You stay here and make sure nothing bad happens to Travis. Do anything you want to Mia, though. If I don't come back... Well, I should come back." I said and grabbed my backpack.

"Okay. Stay safe." Chelsea said, and I rushed out into the woods.

"I don't know if 'safe' is in the demigod language." I called out and I heard her laugh.

"Leo! Leo! Valdez, where are you?" I shouted out. Where could he be? I ran around for another thirty minutes, but I couldn't find him anywhere. "Ugg" I groaned in frustration and sat down on a rock. I listened to the pretty sounds of nature, like the birds chirping, the wind blowing, and the sound of a knife cutting through a vine - wait, that isn't nature. Maybe it's Leo! I ran over to my left and saw a grubby figure faint onto a rock. It was a girl who looked about 16, with dirty hair and grey eyes wearing a Camp Half - Blood shirt.

"Annabeth?"
