What just happened??

EVAN'S POV...
6 months from now ,we will be graduated and a bye to our school. Yesterday I did confidently make the bet of making Jennifer fall for me but how am I going to do I myself don't know. It's Jennifer we are talking about. Yes she is my friend actually I can dare to say bestfriend ,she cares for us a lot and is very sweet but she can be scary when she wants to. She doesn't even need a word to say ,one glare is enough to scare the crap out of you. So I'm scared and confused is the biggest understatement of the century. I think I should say a simple hi first and -
Suddenly there's a lot of whispers going on and there's a crowd formed in the hall. What's going on there ?
As I go near the crowd I can hear someone shouting....
The voice is quite familiar .....OHHH FUCK JENNIFER!!!!
WHAT THE HELL IS HAPPENING??
There in the middle of the crowd is Jennifer holding the collar of a junior ..I guess his name was Ben. But the dangerous part is Jennifer. Her eyes is filled with rage,anger,fury; something not very Jennifer. She is quite calm and doesn't go for violence.
A distinct noise breaks my reverie. Fuck ..she just slapped Ben.
"You fucking don't know who I am. And have no idea what will I do if you don't listen to me ,you get that ??"said Jennifer in the lowest and the most dangerous voice. And to top it off ,she slaps him once again.
Murmurs are going on in the crowd.
"What did Ben do to face Jennifer's wrath ?"
"Never thought to see Jennifer like this.!!"
"Is she bullying the poor Ben ?"
And many more. What just happened ?  I have never seen Jennifer loose her cool. Looking forward they have already left. I can't believe Jennifer just did that. She definitely should never bully a person like Ben. He is quite silent and shy. He is almost like a nerd. I'm very disappointed by her. Forget the bet, I don't even wanna see her face. What does she think about herself? People respect her for fuck's sake. Bullying is not cool.
After this incident I just went to my class. On the way all I could hear about Jennifer and Ben. How Jennifer can be the queen bee of our school, how more popular she is now and stuff like that. While some students were disappointed by her.
The day just passed in the similar way. In lunch Jennifer thankfully wasn't in the cafe again. I was just heading towards the football ground for my early training when I heard loud sobs from under the bleachers. I went towards the voice and I saw a very disheveled girl there sobbing and crying loudly. She was wearing the school sweatshirt tightly as if her life dependent on it. She had a big bluish bruise on her cheek. Her hair was sprawled all over. What should I do ? Should I go to her or should I leave her to have her space ?
Just as I was about to go towards her suddenly Jennifer came towards her .
Was she the reason for the girl crying? It is now enough!! She's gone to far. I was literally seething but then something strange happened. The girl when she saw Jennifer sobbed even harder and hugged her too tightly. It was as if she was trying to get comfort through her. Jennifer was doing a great job of soothing and calming her by rubbing her back . The girl was actually clinging to her and Jennifer was hugging her with equal intensity. Suddenly a drop of tear fall from the corner of her eye and she wiped it as soon as it came. After about 5 mins when the girl finally calmed down she left her and started thanking her while silently crying. Jennifer again hugged her and few drops of tears escaped her eyes.
"I am here with you,aren't I ? You don't have to worry, I am here. I won't let that fucker Ben come near you,I promise darling. Calm down."reassured Jennifer.
The girl hugged her tightly and finally calmed down.
"Thank you so much Jennifer..if you hadn't come in the right time the-then B-Ben would ha-have......" and she started crying.
"Shhh..it's ok I am here ..I am here....shhhh "cooed Jennifer.
"I am so sorry Jennifer,just because of me the whole school is talking shit about you ,I am really sorry."
"Shhhh ...it isn't your fault Reen. Nothing is your fault. And I don't care about the people. And don't worry my friends will handle everything." Jennifer confidently said.
The last statement was like a slap on my face. How couldn't I trust her ? How could I think that she's wrong? And here she was confident about us.
"You have my word Reen ,no one absolutely no one will know what happened. I've called your friend she'd take you home."
"Thank you Jennifer thank you so much."
Just then a girl came to Reen and hugged her. They then left. Jennifer was staring where they went.
I don't know what came in me. I really don't know. It was as if my legs had their own mind. They took me towards her and I hugged her from behind. Jennifer stiffened in my arms and turned around. She was looking with confusion and I did something that I didn't have an explanation of.

I KISSED HER.
