Chapter 14

Josh's POV

"Hey Honey. Ready for our 2 year anniversary?" Luke says to Christi. I here the sound of her answering and it sounded like she said "why are you not calling me back." or something. He has been cheating on Ainsley the entire time he has been with her. I think he just wanted a brake from Christi and their child. When they started dating in 2021 around July, they hit it off and by Christmas she was pregnant. He helped take care of the baby for a while but has been blowing her off with other girls. Now he is tired of having a child and wants to be a teen again.

After he hangs up he looks to me briefly "So, You know the plan right?" He says. "Of course. Lets do it."

Madeline's POV

You do 💩 on purpose

You get mad and you break things

Feel bad, try to fix things

We all sing loudly. All the sudden the Bluetooth goes off "incoming call from Joshie press u connect button to answer" Eydie presses the button and says 'hello' we hear like saying something about a 2 year anniversary. We put the phone on mute. "Ainsley are you on the phone?" I say "No. I have no idea what he is talking about." she says. Then we hear a "ok love you baby, talk to you tonight tell Kris Daddy said hello. Bye Christi." Then we hear something about a plan. and hang up.

"What the *bleep*. who the *bleep* is the *bleeping* Christi, And why the *bleep* is he refuring to him self as daddy." Ainsley says. "I don't know but we need to practice a bit." Eydie says "Hey Madi text Cole and tell him he has 72 hours to get a cappella group together and to Roanoke." Eydie tells me.

5:45 pm that day Eydie's POV

I have dropped the other girls off at their house and informed Annabel to have her stuff out by tomorrow morning. I have to come up with the "after show" set. I also have to do the categories. The ones we have so far are message for someone here, girls, and hip hop/rap. I can't wait for this. I called Trever and he agreed to do the computer and color commentary.

After I work on the set it consists of Two Black Cadillacs,shout out to my ex and before he cheats. Now we need costumes to go under our clothes. I go to the store close by and text the others to get sizes. I end up picking up (can't look for pics I have no wifi I'm at the beach when I am writing this. In the place described in this book. I will try to get pics of it for you when I can.) cute dresses to kind of tease the boys. They are a bit tight at the top however flows at the waist down. They are all different colors but all of them are black and a color checkered. Ainsley gets a sky blue, Madi gets a purple, and I get a light green. I text the boys to get sizes for theirs. I get Josh a orange checkered jacket and I will make him take care of the rest. And same for Luke but instead of orange I get red. I go by Ainsley's house to pick her up for rehearsal.

I knock on the door. And she comes to answer in a matter of 10 seconds. "Hey girl. Ready to go?" I say "Yep. Let's go get Madi." She's says back. We get in my car and drive toward Madeline's house. "So, what's the set like." (I will try and make one when I can again at the beach not much I can do and I will be here for a month. I have to download a app but I will asap.) Ainsley says. "Well lots of good songs. But I mean we may need a plan b just in case and if this works then we can do this for Luke if nothing else. But we will figure it out later." I say.

We pull into Madi's driveway and she jumps in the car. And we head off to my house. I have a big basement so we can do choreography. We work for 3 hours learning the set and doing choreography. "Wow this is good Eydie where did you learn how to do this?" Ainsley asks. "I particularly taught myself and the other part YouTube." I tell her.

We taught the boys a day later. We have our show on Friday. And right now it is Thursday. We are doing a dress rehearsal now and tech rehearsal on the stage in the theater. Trever is in town till Saturday morning for the show. And we are all super nervous that this won't work. Honestly I don't think the riff off will do much but we will have some fun. The show after all will be different. It will show we are not kidding. We are calling ourselves the Musical notes and Cole is calling his group the Golden-clefs. We can't wait to see what happens.
