The birds were chirping in the clear blue sky. The beautiful white horses were galloping through the peaceful and fresh meadows. I walked on the bridge above the sparkling blue water watching as the golden fish swam through the rays of light in the water.
I reached the end of the bridge. I looked up. There it was. The most beautiful sight I have ever laid my eye on. I slowly approached it. I stopped in my tracks when I saw a tall, dark figure come out from the shadows behind a brick wall. It was obviously a man considering his masculine shadow. I focused my eyes on him and slowly his face was being revealed. I could make out a bit of his face. He fully came out of the shadows.
I couldn't believe my eyes. It couldn't be true. This can't be happening. He was here. He was really here. It's.... It's...... *beep beep*. My vision went blurry. The bridge. The meadows. The man. Everything disappeared and went blank. I jolted awake and opened my eyes. I took in my surroundings. I was in my bedroom. I snoozed the cursed alarm that awoke me from my beautiful dream which felt so real.
I jumped out of bed and hopped in the shower. I kept thinking about my dream. There was something about it that I couldn't quite put my finger on. "Oh, how I wished it were real" I mumbled to myself. I got ready and went downstairs to my 'oh so lovely' family. "Morning" I huffed as I reached the kitchen. "Where's breakfast mum?" I asked. "Pfff what do you think this is? A restaurant.
Go make your own breakfast" she exclaimed as she took 4 plates to the breakfast table and placed one in front of my step-dad (that I hate so deep down in my heart), one in front of my brother Max, one in front of my other brother Mike and one in front of herself. I looked her in disbelief. Step-dad gave me the disgusting smirk I know all too well.
My step-dad has a blonde quiff, dark brown evil eyes, a masculine figure and light brown skin. My half-brothers have similar traits to my step-dad but the only difference is that they have blue eyes and tanned skin like my mother and I. My mother and I look exactly the same except for our heights and jawlines. She has a blunt jawline and is pretty tall whereas I have a sharp jawline and average height for my age just like my father who disappeared when I was 10 hence why my Mum married my step-dad.
My Mum and I have light brown hair, blue eyes, a skinny and curvy figure, rosy cheeks, waxed eyebrows compared to the boy's hairy ones, cute dimples and average lengthened nails. There was a report on the news a couple of weeks ago saying that they found an unidentified body in a river near my house where my dad and I always went fishing at.
I kept trying to get the thought out of my head that it could be my him. But how could he be dead for 6 years and only being found now? It didn't make sense.
