Mira's phone rang. She sleepily picked it up. "Hello? Who's calling me at four in the morning?"

"It's me Murisaku! I just wanted to say congrats on your baby!" The voice on the other end of the line crackled.

"Oh, Muri. Yeah the baby's a real pain. Sometimes I wish I could kill it..."

"Don't say that!"

"Come ON, im an assassin, I'm supposed to kill-"

"-who you're supposed to!"

"Fine fine. But five years of this rascal in my house better not be as long as it seems."

"That sounds like something mom would say."

"Yeah, it does."

"Well I was just checking in on you, bye!"

"Bye!" Mira hung up the phone and sighed.

Three years later

"Come on Mimi!" Mira called to her daughter, who was now three years old.

"Mommy, where do you go all day? I don't wanna go to daycare," Mimi yelled.

"I go to do secret stuff," Mira said. "So you can't know. Hurry up!"

"FINE fine!" Mimi slammed her crayon down and put on her shoes.

It was a red crayon, and it made a big red mark on the girl in the picture's face. Mimi saw this and wondered.

"Does mommy kill people?"

"What?" Mira asked.

"Nothing! I'm coming!" Mimi hopped down the hall and went into the car with her mom.

She was sane... for now.
