Sofia Minter

I stared out of the window of one of my brothers cars as it took me away from my parents house. It was only for the summer, I had asked to spend the summer with my youngest brother, who were older than me by eight years.

As I saw the landscapes go past outside the window I thought about everything in my life. My family and the dog. I loved that dog more than I loved most people. He was incredibly cute. Oh how I would miss him this summer. Surely I was with him very much, often just for hours at school, which I did at home. But that dog is still the most adorable thing.

I haven't introduced myself yet, have I? My name is Sofia Minter. I'm sixteen. My brother, in this car, are named Simon. He's 24 years old and lives with three of his best friends. He is a Youtuber, he calls himself Miniminter on there as he is the smallest brother. Also, the youtube world doesn't know about me. My family thinks I'm a bit weird. A common nickname for me is actually Sherlock. It's not my fault that I notice things and then made qualified guesses.

Soon Simon pulled up to a big house. I wondered what Simon's friends would think about me when they met me. I mean, I have met JJ, but it was years ago. Also, like I said, my family thinks I'm a bit weird. I think Simon is afraid of me meeting his friends. Mum practically forced him to let me stay with him.

"You coming?" he asked me as he opened my door. He already had both my suitcases in his hands.
"Yeah" I replied and climbed out of the car before following him inside the house.

I looked around in awe at the big house as I entered it. I don't think I've seen something this big since I was in school the last time, it was about 10 years ago though. My family quickly pulled me out of the place because of some reason. Then I got home schooled, well they hired a private teacher for me, I think I've had about 40 of those. None seems to stay for so long.

"Yo guys! We're home" Simon yelled into the house, signaling the 'guys' to come down and meet me. Soon enough I could hear steps coming down the stairs. Three boys, one was quite small, another one was quite average and the last one had to be JJ. When they came down the stairs I noticed I was right and smiled a bit to myself.
"Welcome home Moné, and you must be Sofia" the one with dark hair and a beard spoke and shook my hand.
"Yes, nice to meet you" I replied with a smile. According to the way he was speaking he must be from around here, London somewhere. He clearly also had a girlfriend, long term. He looked a bit older than the others, but he must be almost as old as Simon.
"My name is Josh, or Zerkaa on Youtube" he told me and I smiled and nodded.
"And I'm Vikk" the little asian guy spoke with a smile. He must be from somewhere bit more north, Sheffield to be exact. He too clearly had a girlfriend. Also, he also must have quite a messed up sleep schedule, and he plays that block game too.
"And we've already met" JJ spoke and I sent him a smile.
"Long time ago JJ" I said and he nodded.
"How did that thing you did to your mother's vase go?" I then asked.
"Which vase?" he asked confused.
"The one with flowers on" I replied and Simon just shook his head.
"It's been years Sofia" Simon commented.
"I know" I replied and sent him a smile.

Ten minutes later I had gotten a room and was left alone to settle in a bit before dinner. I packed up all my clothes in the drawers neatly and then proceeded to put my phone in the loader and plug in my laptop and set it on the desktop. Then there was a knock on my door and I quickly went and opened the door to reveal Simon.
"Hi Sofia, can we talk a bit before dinner?" he asked and I nodded and let him to the room before closing the door.
"So, what's on your mind today Simon?" I asked as I sat in the chair.
"I just, you know what mum and dad usually say before they take you out to public places?" he asked and I nodded.
"Don't talk to strangers. Try not to tell everyone everything about themselves. Stay close to us so you don't get lost" I said simply.
"Right, the one in the middle. Can you please not freak my friends out. Please" he asked. That was another thing. I usually tend to freak people out apparently, maybe that's why they took my off school...
"So, you don't want me to tell them that JJ had a one night stand in this house yesterday?" I asked and Simon face palmed.
"That's exactly what I'm trying to say. How do you even know that?" he asked, his cheek reddened to a blush as I said that.
"You mean how I noticed how he had hickeys on his neck? Or how you clearly could smell a perfume on him mixed with his normal one, therefore a one night stand, or at least first time with that person" I said simply and watched him, he shook his head but was clearly blushing.
"Alright, that is exactly what you shouldn't say around the guys. Also, we have Harry, Tobi and Ethan coming around for dinner tonight. We are gonna film a few videos" he told me.
"And Harry, Tobi and Ethan is the rest of the Sidemen, right?" I asked and he nodded. "Alright, good to know" I said.

After a few moments I heard how the door downstairs opened and three people walked in. One was a bit over average, then it was another small one, but not as small as Vikk, and the last one also seemed quite average. Interesting.
"That must be them, let's go meet them" I said and stood up quickly. I loved meeting new people, my parents didn't let me do that a lot.
"Yeah, dinner should be ready soon too" I heard Simon say behind me as he stood up, but then I was already by the stairs.

I practically ran down the stairs to see the three guys by the front door. The one who was bit over average had ginger hair, he had a girlfriend, so did the brunette one. The last one was single, but he had a younger brother who he hung around quite a lot. How cute, siblings who are around each other loads.
"Hello, I'm Sofia. It's nice to meet you" I said happily as they noticed me too.
"Nice to meet you too Sofia, you must be Simon's sister" the ginger one said with a smile. "I'm Ethan, or Behz. And this is Tobi and Harry" Ethan seemed to be from from the east, Essex somewhere probably.
"Nice to meet you" Tobi spoke, he too must be from around London somewhere.
"Yeah, pleasure to finally meet you" Harry spoke. His accent took me a back. He wasn't from england like the rest ones. His accents were more southerly, like far south. What is those islands name, the ones close to France. Not Jersey, the other one, it's something alike it. Oh, Guernsey. That's right.
"Is it really loads of goats on Guernsey" I asked him at once. I had always wondered.
"I suppose" he seemed taken aback by the question.
"I said not to creep them out Sofia" Simon's voice suddenly said behind me.
"I just asked a question, you said I wasn't supposed to tell them stuff about them" I replied.
"My god" he sighed then turned to the guys. "Nice seeing you again guys, been awhile" he spoke and they all hugged.

At dinner I was sat at the corner of the table and ate the food in front of me, some sort of chicken. It was quite nice actually. Everyone ate in silence, but I ignored it while eating my food. "So, how are you enjoying London so far Sofia?" Tobi suddenly asked and I looked up at him.
"I haven't seen much of it really. But it's nice I suppose" I replied simply.
 "How are things with your little brother?" I then asked and Simon looked up at me and gave me a pleading look before turning to Tobi.
"He's good" Tobi replied calmly with a smile.
"He was actually wondering if we wanted to record a football video with him tomorrow" Tobi then told the guys.
"Sure, I'm in" Ethan spoke. Soon Ethan, Harry, Josh and JJ had agreed to do a football video.
"Can I follow them to Si?" I asked my brother.
"I don't know if that is a good idea" Simon said.
"I don't want to be in the video, I just want to see someone actually play football live for once" I told him.
"You never seen anyone play?" Harry asked confused.
"Surely you must have seen Simon play sometime" Josh stated and I shook my head, which left all the guys surprised except Simon, who knew the story.
"She must follow us then" Tobi said and everyone turned to Simon.
"I don't know..." Simon said unsure.
"Please Si, just this once" I begged, I really just wanted to know more about the guys. Simon's eyes met mine.
"Yeah, she must try play football too" JJ spoke and I shook my head.
"I'm good. I don't see the point of running around with a ball" I said simply. "But I'd love to watch someone else do it" I then added.
"Sofia, you know that I have to take care of you while you're here" Simon told me.
"Of course, but it wouldn't be no harm to hang around your friends. I would be bored if I just hanged around the house all the time" I replied and he sighed, I'll have them wrapped around my finger soon enough.
"Sure, I will think about it" Simon said and then turned back to his food. Everyone seemed confused, but no one said anything more about it. I don't know what it was being confused about. I always needed a family member with me when I left the house. It was just my life.
