Jeremy sighed and put his down onto the lunchroom table. Christine put a comforting hand on his back and gave him a knowing look. You see, Jeremy has been spilling his guts out to Christine for the last hour on how he feels about Michael. He worried at first that it might have been awkward with their history, Jeremy used to have a crazy crush on Christine, but it ended up not being awkward at all. He sat up and took a drink of the slurpee Michael had brought him last period.
"I don't really know what to say..." Christine gave a sympathetic smile and continued, "I've never really had a boyfriend before. Especially not a gay one.
Jeremy chuckled. "Well, yeah. I would assume not." Jeremy went back into his depressed state and stared out the window. "It's been a month. A month since Michael saved my life and all I can think about his how perfect he is. Funny, smart, heroic." Jeremy banged his head on the table.
"You guys are really cute though." Christine commented while looking at the slurpee cup with Jeremy's name and a heart drawn on it in Michael's hand writing. "I think there's a chance."
Jeremy sat up again and looked at her, a small blushing hinting at his face. "Really?" He said with a small smile. She grinned, "Of course! It's so clear you two have a strong bond. There's a good chance it can grow into something more." Jeremy nodded and looked down, smile still prominent on his face.
Just then doors to the cafeteria busts open and in walks Michael with a 7/11 bag in his hand and a fresh Slurpee. He has his white headphones on and they're blaring his music as per usual. Jeremy's eyes widen and his blush intensifies. Michael smiles big and plops down across from where Jeremy and Christine are sitting.
"What's up broskis?" He said while opening his bag and removing his plastic container of gas station sushi. Jeremy smiled nervously at him and quickly got up, walking out of the room. Michael sighed and looked down at his meal. Christine shot him a sympathetic look.
"He's acted like this for a few days now, I've been trying to help as much as I can, but i'm scared he isn't going to be the same." Michael rested his head in his hands and looked up to Christine.
"I'm almost positive he'll come around, he's got a lot going on right now." She said with a small smile, hoping to restore some faith. Michael didn't say anything else, just opened his container and dug in, though, it didn't taste as good as it does when he's with Jeremy.

Jeremy busted into his room and flopped onto the bed. He groaned and rolled over, hugging one of his pillows.
"Why am I like this?" He wondered to himself. Just then, he heard a tapping at his window. His eyes widened and rushed to it. There he saw Michael throwing pebbles. He rolled his eyes with a small smile. Michael was really a dork. Jeremy opened his window and poked his head out.
"Have you been avoiding me?" Michael blurted out, his arms now crossed, tapping his foot. Jeremy bit his lip, not wanting to say anything. "Fine, don't answer me. I'm coming up." Jeremy's eyes widening and he yelled at Michael, "I actually don't feel so great, so u-um maybe another time?" He didn't sound convincing.
"Whatever you have, it's worth it." Michael said and proceeding to walk to his front door, which is always left open. Jeremy scrambled to straighten his room and make it presentable for Michael, for some reason he felt like he had to impress him. He slid an empty pizza box under his bed as he heard a knock at the door and then it immediately proceeds to open.
"You can't avoid me anymore, Jeremy. What did I do?" Michael said, closing the door behind him. Jeremy looked at the ground and sat on the edge of his bed in defeat. He had to tell him, Michael didn't deserve this, not after all he's done for him. It wasn't fair. Jeremy sighed and looked at Michael, who had now moved from the doorway onto the bed right next to him.
"Michael.. I..I.." Jeremy trailed off, now finding that his throat was dry and he was sweating profusely. Michael's eyes widened, noticing his discomfort. "Dude, are you ok? You look paler than usual." Michael lifted a hand up to Jeremy's forehead and Jeremy flinched away.
"I-I'm fine, just tired that's all." Jeremy said and stood up awkwardly. Michael sighed and closed his eyes, he knew something was wrong with his best friend, and he felt helpless. He would do anything for Jeremy. "Please tell me what's wrong, Jeremy. I want to help." Michael begged.
Jeremy smiled sadly to himself. He can't tell him, not now at least. "Really, I'm fine. You should go... I'll text you." Jeremy said. He walked to his bathroom, hoping that Michael would be gone by the time he was done. He was right.

Michael had Bob Marley blasting through his headphones as he slowly found his way home. A buzz in this back pocket shook the pathetic look on his face. He quickly reached for his found and a smile lit up his face when he saw who it was. His girlfriend, Briana.
