It was Sunday and i was exhausted but i was defiantly ready to go to church every Sunday is a day of faith and love for the lord. Church is my home away from home i got up and slipped into my flower skirt and red shirt and sandals it was about 10:20 a.m when my family and i walked out the door! I had no intention of doing what i did that Sunday i just was going to walk in grab a cup of coffee, run down to Preschool check the nursery to see if i got my volunteer position and then go see if i could volunteer in Kidzone! Their was nothing special that i was going to do interacting with two homeless people was not on my schedule! When i figured out that who i was looking for in Preschool was not there i was upset, When i figured out i have not got my volunteer position in the nursery i was upset, whenever i figured out i could not volunteer in kidzone i was even more upset. I sat on the couch far from the two door that were between me and tried to listen to what the pastor had to say i tried sitting in the chapel and listen from there but i was to antsy and i did not want to disturb anyone people take their church time very seriously! I was sitting on the couch for about five minutes when two people a man and a women came in and approached a lady walking the halls!
"We feel so stupid!" the women said "We are homeless and we don't know what we are doing!"
"Don't feel stupid!" the lady from the halls said "Their is coffee on the counter you can help yourselves!"
I knew i had to approach them and ask them if i could help them find a good spot in the chapel.
"Hi!" said "I am Britney"
"Stephanie" the women said shaking my hand
"Can i help you find a good seat in the auditorium?" i asked
They nodded "Ya that would be great!" they said "But first we are going to get some coffee. If that okay?"
I nodded "Of course"
They started asking me questions about food and activities that we had at the church and i told them that they were going to have to google the site and check it out.
"Okay we are going to step outside to see if we can get a connection!"
I thought that was the end and they were gone for good and i was never going to see them again It so happens that i was wrong. The three of us sat in church together i could not believe how much faith they had together i watched them pray and thank god for what they had! I showed them around the church after service and they left Stephanie gave me a hug
"See you next week?" I asked
They nodded
