ALL HER LIFE, Freja Barrett has been an outcast, all thanks to her obsession on everything relating to supernatural creatures. Well, others called it obsession, she called it research — and once the zombie apocalypse would hit, or werewolves would take over, or a bunch of witches would start wreaking havoc, at least she'd be prepared. She'd survive.

It's not like she expects a green-skinned woman to fly into Seattle on her broomstick or to find Dracula's coffin lying around, but she does believe in powers greater than human beings, in the possibility that out there in the whole big world, someone has to be special. And when they would begin to pop up, Freja would be there, people would come to her for help and forgiveness, and the supernatural would seek her advice or alliance. In every sense of the word, she's ready, yet years of research don't hold her afloat when she unexpectedly finds herself thrown amidst of the very beings she's devoted herself to.

Hi hi hii!

I'm finally giving this fic a go, I created this idea back in like 2017 but I recently rewatched iZombie so I've now fallen in love with the show and the characters all over again. I'm not sure if this is gonna reach a whole lot of people because the show is so underrated, but has that stopped me from already planning two follow-up books? Naaaah, I definitely have fics for Blaine and Major hiding in my drafts too. But for now, we'll see how this one works out (:

This fic will probably include violence, possibly hints of homophobia, but for now I think I'm staying pretty much on the show's level. But just a fair warning!

Lastly, I want to dedicate this fic to everyone who's supported me in any way and everyone who might stumble upon this book, but especially to Iikegold for being not only an awesome friend but the one who I can always rant about the show to + tinkertaydust because she is such a magnificent writer, and I haven't forgotten about our (totally lighthearted) agreement to spread more love for iZombie (: (Even if it took me 2 years to get this out.)
