*Sophia's POV*"Damn. I knew you were dying to know what was in your English exam but I didn't know you were this desperate." joked Caleb.
"Shut uppp. You know that I have got the worst marks in the history of bad marks since your mom started teaching. So come onnnn. Just give me a little clue." I said.
"For the last time, I do NOT know anything", he says laughing his ass off.
"Ugghhhh."
I was already in such a bad mood. Charles had disappeared as soon as we had surprised Miranda and cut the cake. I looked for him everywhere but he was nowhere to be found. He is supposed to be my boyfriend. Technically, we're like at that stage in which neither is sure whether they're still dating or not because we haven't officially broken up.
Two weeks ago, he actually asked me if we were still dating or not. And I was like what the fuck, dude? But guess what my absolutely amazing reply was. I said and I quote, "Yes...of course." Like seriously, uggghhhh. I can't say I regret saying that because I can't hide the fact that I'm so madly in love with him. Despite Katherine telling me to break up with him all through the summer, I didn't do it and honestly, I don't even think I had the guts to do so.
I just don't know why I can't be strong in front of him.
Because you're in love with him, you idiot...
But I don't wanna be.
And you shouldn't be either.
I have officially gone crazy. I was listening to Katherine's voice in my mind. Wow.
Dude stop acting you know I am right.
Shut up. You're not even real. You are just a voice in my mind.
"Hey Soph, I am being like the besttttt friend ever to walk on this earth by bringing you your boyfriend", says Louis walking over to me followed by Charles.
OMG! OMG! OMG! WHAT SHOULD I SAY TO HIM?! WHERE THE HELL IS KATHERINE'S MENTAL VOICE WHEN YOU ACTUALLY NEED IT??
"Hi, Charles."
"Oh, hey." he says absentmindedly while scrolling through his phone.
Ping! I think he got a text message. I look at his face as he reads it and all of a sudden he looks up at me, straight into my eyes.
"I'm so damn sorry, Sophia...for everything."
"It's okay. I don't blame you."
"Do you mind if we go somewhere private to talk? If we do that, we might end up calling this our fourth date." he says laughing.
"Yeah sure."
"Let's go to the room next to Miranda's. It's usually always empty."
Jesus, my heart is beating so fast right now. What if today is THE DAY? What if I end up getting my first kiss today. Okay, just by the thought of that my stomach is almost exploding with butterflies.
We enter the room and sit down on the bed and start talking.
After a few minutes, the summer that we spent apart somehow doesn't even matter. We're back to the way we used to be. And it feels so damn good.
"What's your ideal date?" he asks all of a sudden.
"I don't know. I'm not sure. Maybe at a fair, riding a ferris wheel and kissing when it stops at the time. I know its cheesy but it just seems really cute." I say.
