Charlie's POV
Hey guys, it's Monday and it's my favorite day ever. Not.
Sometimes I wonder who invented school, but whoever it is, screw that person. It's not an educational place to be, it's hell. I repeat, it is hell. No one really care about their grades, all they want to do is graduate and get out of this prison in no time.
At least that's what I realized these past few years.
I walked along the hallway of Garfield High School. Funny name, I know. I halted before my locker and grabbed all the books I need.
"Bah!" Someone shouted while a pair of hands suddenly tapped my shoulders, causing me to startle. I rapidly turned around and saw no other than Jessica Peyton. May I say, my best partner in crime.
"You scared me!" I pouted like a little kid while hitting her shoulders rather weak, not wanting to hurt her.
We started chatting about our weekend and stuffs, not to mention gossips - the type of conversation Jess loved the most. I also mentioned Lark the cutie and Alex being too self-conceited. She also mentioned some new guy who was the talk of the school, having the top 4 sluts swoon over him.
We still had ten minutes before our first class starts, mine was Maths - one of the subject I hated the most. Too much thinking. I wasn't bad at it, but also not good at it. I was one of the so-so student.
Yes, I know, I'm so average. Nothing to love, yet nothing to hate about me.
Everything was peaceful until this cliché group of troublesome guys came, the typical bad boys. They consist of Ryder, Axel, and last but not least, Brendan.
Let's start off with Ryder Collins. The Playboy. They all are, but he was labeled as it is. He can have 10 chicks at the same time and ditch them whenever he wants. I pity her future wife - if he would've had one.
Next is Axel Jordan. Just like his last name, he has the talent like Michael Jordan does. Maybe more. I don't remember him having any weaknesses in any sport. Other subject? He's the true meaning of 'suck at it'. Well, that's fair.
Now, this is the part where I introduce you to the number one, last but not least, Brendan Hughes. The badass. He has the money, the brain, the looks, and the ego. He has it all. His worst enemy is rules and law. That's why he broke them and do whatever he wants. Sleeping around, dissipate, get drunk, smokes, doing illicit drugs, etc. Anything a typical bad boy would do.
Although girls find them sexy and mysterious, but not for me. They're just bunch of losers who do bad things for fame. They might call those bad things as youth, but for me it's stupid. You hurt yourself for the thing you call 'freedom'.
If that's freedom, maybe I won't even like the word itself.
Everyone that was once roamed started to split themselves into two and made a way for them. Every creature classified as girls was locking their eyes at the bad boys' form. I turned my head towards Jessica only to find her love stuck eyes yearning at Ryder.
It's a pity she fell in love with a playboy, but she always had a thing for Ryder. What can I do?
I rolled my eyes at them, feeling annoyed. I guess I should stop this habit or else my eyeballs are gonna roll out of my eyes. Ew.
