Marrying an Immigrant?

This sounds really weird, but I think a book like this could be really interesting and different. Obviously we don't see this idea everyday, especially on Wattpad.

If I were to be writing this it would definitely lean more towards the humor side and less towards the actual legal and court stuff.

I got the idea from watching "That 70's Show" when Laurie marries Fez so he could stay in the country after he graduated.

In my head I imagine the story being based around Nikki and Dean, obviously my favorite ship. Sorry not sorry. Anyway, Seth, Nikki's brother, who was born in America would ask his best friend Dean to do him a big favor. He tells him Nikki only has a couple of months left before she will have to go back to her birth country. Dean hesitant at first says sure and while they figure everything out and try to pull this off this wedding and make it seem like they are a legit couple they slowly fall for each other.

Now clearly you can change the characters to whoever you'd want, they could be German or African or whatever, but because I'm Hispanic the first thought that came to mind was Nikki because shes half Mexican. I thought about Dean because I feel like he would totally do this for a friend. I'm sure he wouldn't but in my head he totally would.

Another couple I can see this storyline with that I think would be really cool is JoJo and Seth. I've been really digging them lately so I think they'd be really cute too!

Back to the actual plot though, after the person who was going to be sent back becomes a citizen, the agreement was they would get a divorce and go there separate ways. The only problem being they don't really want to. In my head Dean would be like in his head not wanting to but Nikki would vocally not be as willing. She'd make small hints that she doesn't want to get a divorce and Dean wouldn't have a real answer. My favorite thing about this plot is that you can literally do anything with it. You have so many options and get to choose however you'd like it!

Anyway that's just an idea, I know it's all over the place but I think that would be really cool to write and you could really do anything with that plot.
