Hylla and Reyna

Reyna ducked as Hylla pounced. Sprinting like a cheetah, Reyna escaped her sister. Reyna paused, pointing at the sword behind Hylla. The sword tore through the air, landing in Reyna's hand. The sword morphed to a bow accompanied by a quiver. "No fair," Reyna groaned. "Chill out, Rain, you need practice," Hylla laughed. Reyna rolled her eyes and sprung towards Hylla, gaining speed as she knocked an arrow, aimed, and let it fly all while running. Her arrow would have hit Hylla true in the chest; instead, at the last second, a force field hit the arrow and sent it skittering. "Nice," Hylla praised. Reyna grinned.

Practice was over. Real battle, however, was nothing like practising with Hylla; it was horrible. The shadows were all one of the seventeen sisters could know. In battle, no matter how many were destroyed, more appeared. The shadows were shadows of someone's previous life. The shadows would continue coming until the evil spirit that had captured the eighteenth sister, Eliza, was destroyed. Reyna had to charm the spirit out of Eliza and destroy the spirit with Hailey's magic. The girls were planning to seize Eliza, ending the battle. Reyna mounted her Pegasus, Twilight. "Go, Twilight! Before Hylla wakes up," Reyna whispered, as Twilight leapt into the air, and they soared off into the cool night sky.

Twilight landed, hidden near Eliza's stronghold. Reyna slid off Twilight's back. Twilight snorted, and then leapt into the air and flew off. Reyna wandered the camp until she found the tent that had to be Eliza's. Reyna was circling the tent to find the best entrance when a harsh hand grabbed her shoulder. She turned, expecting a furious Hylla; instead, she found a nightmare. "Wow, Hylla really wants to lose by not protecting you, huh?" Eliza smirked, grabbing a dagger from her pocket and pointing it at Reyna. "Answer, you brat!" Eliza lobbed the dagger. Reyna ducked but not fast enough. Reyna cried out as the dagger embedded itself in her shoulder. Reyna collapsed. Blood was soaking into her black jumpsuit. Dazed and in pain, Reyna didn't know what to do. Her training kicked in as Eliza sprang at her with a new dagger. Reyna's mind went into autopilot, ducking and slashing with the sword she summoned. It looked as if Reyna might win, until Eliza tripped her, bringing her to the ground. As Eliza came in for the kill, she stepped on that necklace that had flown off Reyna, releasing powerful magic that destroyed the spirit and tossing Eliza. An hour later, Hylla arrived to find it was too late for Reyna, lying in the blood-soaked grass, alone.
