Divergent inspired story

Chapter 2

When we walk into school and attend our classes I take note to the amity kids who walk together and not pick fights with each other. How amazing would that be? To have friends who you haven't punched and knocked unconcious?

I messed with my shirt as I waited for my last class to end. Contemplating walking out without permission or waiting for the teacher to dismiss us.

It would take true courage to leave early without permission but since it's the last day and not many dauntless are in this class for me to fake bravery to I decide to wait for the teacher to dismiss us.

When the teacher dismisses us I go with the dauntless kids in my class and make small talk with them about some girls birthday party and how the gun her mom gave her was to safe and some other crap.

At the waiting area I sat there nervously messing with my shirt until my name was called amongst some other peoples names "Tahlia Retno" they said.

When I went in my room a women in grey greeted me.

"Let's just do all that needs to be done and keep talking to a minimum please?" I begged.

" Yes of course," she said as she connected me to the cords and then I went under.

I woke up and a table was in front of me. On the table was some cheese that looked very good and tasty and next to it was a knife. I know knifes are good protection but what is to be protected by? I voice yells to choose one, so I do, I grab the cheese and hope I will be able to eat it later.

Just then a huge dog appears in front of me, I look at the dog and think of the dogs I have met before, not at all scary but never this huge. I decide to feed the dog my cheese an hope to befriend it.

Just as I feel safe once more a dog little girl appears making the dog uneasy an he goes into attack position. I quickly pick the girl up in hope to protect her from the dog since he trusts me.

All of the sudden I'm on a bus and the girl and dog are gone and an old man looks at me and shows me a picture of my mom asking if I knew her. I know that telling him yes I could get in trouble so I shrug and don't look him in the eye wondering where the bus would take me.

" If you know this person you can save me!" He says panicking.

I notice the bus is stopped and to avoid conflict I rush off without saying anything else to the man.

Just then I wake up in the simulation chair and start to think I should choose amity or dauntless tomorrow but I'm not sure.

The abnegation lady waits for the paper given results to print as I stare at her and my hands get clammy.

She gives me the paper right after it prints and I gasp at my result: AMITY.
