"The single greatest thing you can do to change your life today would be to start being grateful for what you have right now. And the more grateful you are, the more you get."
-Oprah Winfrey

Erik POV

"F-Faye?" There was a small wolf pup lying in the bed. The wolf was unconscious, breathing at a regular rate. I sniffed the air to smell the strong scent of Faye. I took a step back putting my hands behind my head. How was this possible? How could Faye get her wolf so early?

I dragged a hand down my face trying to come up with any possible answers but came up with none. Faye's small wolf was beautiful. She was a beige color that relaxed Klay at the sight of her.

My hand shot out to brush her soft fur. She stirred lightly in her sleep, responding to my touch. I pulled the covers over her again and left her alone to get some rest. There were questions that needed answers so I made my way downstairs to see if anybody could help me understand all of this.

There were some murmurs coming from the kitchen. Josefina was the first to see me. She made her way towards me and threw her arms around me. "Thank you for saving my little girl."

I returned her hug feeling honored that Josefina finally accepted me. "It wasn't just me that saved Faye, it was Zena's mother who saved her."

"Minerva," She said smiling.

I walked over to Minerva and Zena. " Thank you, both of you for saving her. I wouldn't have known what to do if it wasn't for you two."

Minerva held my hand in her looking deep into my eyes. "You are truly special Erik along with your mate Faye. Everything is happening for a reason, just remember that."

"Well can anybody explain why Faye is in wolf form." I looked around the room at their expressions, it was obvious that they had seen her as a wolf pup.

"It seems that since Faye was so close to death, that by having a near death experience brought her wolf forth. In the middle of the night, she shifted into her wolf while passed out. It saved her life by doing so."

"We're not sure how it was all possible, but I'm just glad that my daughter is alive. I'd like to thank you to Erik, you found all those herbs when we didn't think it was possible. Your uh...raven helped too."

Grayson held his hand out to me as I shook it. Klay was gleaming with pride. We were being accepted by both of Faye's parents. This moment was worth the fight, worth for Faye.

"I think I hear her," Camilla spoke up running up the stairs along with her parents. There was a knock on the wall revealing Olivia and Jules. We hadn't seen Jules since she went back to town after we saved her.

"What are you two doing here?" I questioned.

"Damon called us here. He explained to us what happened." Olivia walked up to me hitting my shoulder. "Besides, I'm going to be the scout of the pack and deserve to know what's going on with my future alpha."

She had a point. I just didn't have any easy way of telling the pack without causing a ruckus. All I kept thinking about was my pack judging me for something that was out of my control, just like Faye's parents had.

"Well, I'm going to go check on Faye." Jules made her way up the stairs with her black bag. I almost forgot that she was a doctor and could help us if we were in our original human form.

"So an eight-year-old?"

I rolled my eyes. "It was the moons gift to me. Just likes she gives every wolf a mate."

"How are you coping with everything that's been going on?"

"Not well. It gets better when I see Faye though. I've waited years for her and I'm not about to let her go, ever."
