"Great, okay, so all I have to do is sneak out of the house, print out my resume in less than 2 minutes, spontaneously audition for the lead role Ladybug and land the part. " Marinette sighed.
She talked to her cat, Tikki, as she tied her hair into Ladybug's signature pigtails. She bounced lightly on the balls of her feet and took the mask she made from her nightstand, maneuvering it gently over her hair and placing it onto her face.
"How do I look Tikki?" Marinette said giddily. In response she got a affectionate purr and rub against the leg. Marinette reached over to her printer and lightly placed her resume into her bag, thinking, she might actually do it. Maybe she'll land the spot and play her idol, Ladybug.
Marinette breathed in deeply and closed her eyes. She mentally prepared herself and whispered a little pep talk.
"Ok Marinette come on. You've read and loved the book, 'Tales of Ladybug and Cat Noir.' You're ready for this. You can do this. You can land the part as Ladybug for the movie." She opened her eyes feeling a newfound surge of confidence. "Let's go."
Marinette quietly opened her bedroom door and slid out, saying a whispered goodbye to Tikki. She briskly looked left and right, concluded that the coast was clear, and bolted, her red, polka dotted dress, swaying as she closed the front door.
