Extra 1: Cooking

It was a quiet Saturday morning. The light shining through the window had awoken Beam. Beam looked up and around but Forth was nowhere to be found. Usually Beam woke up hugging Forth or being hugged by Forth. Beam got up and headed towards the living area and kitchen. Forth was stood over the stove; shirtless. What the hell? What kind of person cooks with no shirt on?

"Forth?" Beam called out. Forth directed his attention towards Beam and gave him a smile. Beam melted a little bit.

"Sit. I was just about to wake you." Beam took a seat at their small table. He was only looking around the area. He hasn't been living with Forth for very long. He realized how cool Forth's apartment was. Forth had lots of cool decorations and posters. Everything was really neat and organized too. If Beam didn't know better he would have thought Forth was some sort of art major because everything was arranged really nicely. It was really pleasingly to the eye.

Forth finally set down a rice omelette in front of Beam. He sat across from Beam and smiled. "I didn't know you could cook." Beam was surprised. He took his spoon and ate a bit. It was really good too!

"I've lived alone for a while. I felt like I had to pick up cooking at some point." Forth laughed as looked at Beam. Beam only ate quietly as Forth watched.

"Aren't you going to eat?" Beam asked.

"Later, you look too cute right now," Beam felt himself get red in the cheeks. Forth only laughed as he ruffled Beam's bedhead. Forth got up to cook for himself. Beam only stared at Forth's back. The med student only bit his lip. He looked at the clock and realized he had a few minutes until his morning classes.

"Shit! I need to get ready." Beam said rushing into the bathroom. After talking a shower he quickly put on his uniform and dried his hair. Beam grabbed his things and walked out his and Forth's room. He saw Forth eating by himself as he was walking toward the door. Beam stopped and looked at Forth.

"Bye," Forth smiled at Beam. Beam only shook his head and walked over to Forth. Beam gave the engineering student a kiss on the cheek. Forth looked at him extemely touched.

"I'll call you later, bye." Beam smiled as he walked out of their apartment.

Beam and Forth were sat in Beam's car. Forth was sat in the driver's seat while Beam sat in the passengers seat. They were dead silent. It's not they got into a fight they just didn't have anything to talk about. 

"Where do you wanna eat?" Forth asked keeping his on the outside. Beam looked at Forth's side profile. Forth was so handsome, what the hell? Beam's heart felt a little shaken.

"Nowhere really...I'm kind of tired." Beam complained. Forth only gave him and understanding smile and held Beam's hand. The two interlocked fingers. Forth looked up at Beam.

"Okay, so how about we go home and I cook something?" Forth suggested.

"Hm, that sounds good." Beam said. Beam was curious to see what Forth could do. Forth patted Beam's thigh then started up the car. The drive home was kind of quiet so Beam put on some music.

When they arrived Forth headed into the kitchen area while Beam went to take a shower. When Beam finished showering and redressed he sat down at their small table. Forth was still cooking. Beam only looked around again taking in the decorations.

A few minutes later Forth set down the food in front of Beam. This time there were two dishes instead of one. Forth sat across from Beam. In front of Beam was some simple pad thai. Forth got up and grabbed two cans of beer. "Thanks," Beam said. Forth only nodded as they began to eat. Beam noticed it was pretty good for how simple it was.

They finished eating and Beam offered to wash the dishes. Forth only sat at their small table watching him. Beam had just finish washing them when Forth came behind him and gave him a hug. "It feels like we're married," Forth happily sighed.

"Married my ass." Beam cursed as he turn around to wrap his arms around Forth. Forth only smiled as he gave Beam a kiss. Beam kissed him back while caressing the back of his head. They stayed kissing until Beam pulled away. "Go shower now," he smiled as he walked into their room

The next morning Beam woke up extra early to try to make breakfast for Forth. Thanks to Internet he was able to find directions. Beam quickly got to work. Soon enough Forth woke up. He was surprised to see Beam so concentrated on cooking.

Forth walked over to their small table and sat. "Beam you really didn't need to do this," Forth smiled.

"Don't worry. I wanted to try cooking something." Beam said as he set down the rice omelette in front of Forth. This was less romantic than Beam thought it would be. Instead he felt like he was on one of those cooking shows and Forth was a judge. Forth began to eat while Beam only watched.

"Why...is it sweet?" Forth asked.

"Wait what?!"

"It's sweet..." Forth repeated. "Beam did you accidentally put sugar instead of salt?" Forth asked on the verge of laughing. Beam took the fork out of Forth's hand. Beam tried his dish and noticed the sweet flavor. He really did confuse salt with sugar.

"I can't believe this," Beam cried. Forth only began to laugh. Forth was laughing so hard while Beam felt so embarassed.

"Shut up!" Beam said punching Forth's arm. Forth wiped his tears from laughing to hard. He took the fork back and continue eating. "Why are you still eating that?" Beam asked.

"'Cause Beam made it," Forth smiled. Beam blushed a bit while Forth ate; looking pretty content despite the flavor of the food. Forth wrapped an arm around Beam's waist and pulled the med student into his lap.

"Forth," Beam groaned.

"I'm really happy you made this for me," Forth smiled while giving Beam a kiss on the cheek.

"Ugh!" Beam cried while whipping his cheek.

"I love you,"

"Yeah, yeah, love you too.."
