Four- Shameless

The day went by slower than usual, all Alison could think about was her fifth period class with Mr. Mendes and looking at the clock every two minutes. She couldn't help but remember his signature scent, the way he smiled at her with his perfect teeth when she got into the car, the veins in his arms while he had them on the steering wheel.

Finally it was fifth period, Alison's favorite time of the day. When she walked into the music room she saw Maggie talking to her man. Doesn't Maggie know the best friend code? You do not talk to your best friends lover.

"Hey Maggie," Alison said while walking over to Maggie and Mr. Mendes, linking her arm with Maggie's, "come sit with me."

"Okay, I'll see you after school Mr. Mendes!" Maggie said while Alison pulled her away to sit down.

"Okay, guys, today we're going to work on our vocal warm ups."

The bell rang for lunch and Alison walked with Maggie to stand in line for food. She held onto her backpack strap while they waited.

"So, what were you and Mr. Mendes talking about?" Alison asked curiously.

"Oh um I actually take singing lessons with Mr. Mendes on Wednesdays." Maggie explained with a shrug.

"Oh, okay," Alison nodded slowly, "I didn't know that."

" Hey babe I came to surprise you with a lunch date," Hunter Higgins walked up and gave Maggie a kiss on the cheek.

" Hey daddy what a surprise!" Maggie giggled, " I missed you so much."

Hunter wrapped his arm around Maggie, "Let's go, babe, I've got something special planned."

"Okay, see you later, Ali!" Maggie walked away with Hunter and Alison waved before getting her food and sitting down at her usual table.

The end of the school day came around and Alison remembered that Maggie had a lesson with Mr. Mendes. Eager to see what was happening between the two, Alison made her way across the school to the music room. The music room was soundproof, so Alison just watched for a few minutes until she got bored and went outside to sit on the marble benches. She waited outside for an hour for Maggie to finish her lesson. Maggie finally walked outside from the doors and was surprised to find Alison sitting there.

"Oh, uh, hey Alison. What are you doing here?" Maggie asked, confused as she walked over to the blonde.

" I was waiting for you silly!" Alison exclaimed, " I thought we could hang out after your lesson."

" Oh well Mr. Mendes was going to take me home because I didn't drive my car today," Maggie said, " I wouldn't want him to worry about you too, you should probably go home."

"Can you come over later then? I feel like we haven't hung out together in forever." Alison pleaded.

Maggie thought about it for a minute before nodding with a sigh. "Yeah, sure. Is 6:00 okay?"

Alison smiled, "perfect! See you then!"

Mr Mendes walked through the door, " You ready to go Maggie?"

"Yeah, Mr Mendes, let's go" Maggie said while a blush was creeping on her cheeks. "See you later, Ali."

"Yeah, see you later." Alison tried her best to contain her jealousy, but her words came out through clenched teeth as she gripped her backpack straps in her fists.

The two got into Mr. Mendes' car and Alison watched them drive away in envy. What did Maggie have that Alison didn't?

When the clock turned six o'clock Alison saw a familiar shiny black car pull up in her driveway. Where had she seen that car before? She couldn't remember. Maggie got out of the passenger side of her door and blew the driver a kiss. This must be Hunter's car, that's where she remembered it from.

"Hey, sorry I had Mr. Mendes drop me off at Hunters." Maggie said, " Hunter just dropped me off and will pick me up at eight."

"Why so early?" Alison asked suspiciously.

"We have school tomorrow and I uh have a test in um Chemistry I have to study for." Maggie answered quickly.

"Okay well let's just order a pizza and watch Shameless on Netflix." Alison suggested.

" Yes, girl you know that show is my shit." Maggie said while jumping onto the couch.

After 2 hours of laughing their asses off and oogling their eyes over Lip Gallagher the time rolled to 8 and the same shiny black car came to pick Maggie up.

"Bye Alison, see you tomorrow! Love you!" Maggie said walking out of the door.

" Bye, Love you too." Alison said closing the door.
