"Wake up." I said slapping my book on the counter.
"I'm so tired." Lily groaned sitting up.
"We were up ages last night!" Skylar said leaning back in her seat.
"What were you girls doing?" Calum asked with a smirk.
"We were finishing a project, you noob." I said rolling my eyes.
"Longest project ever." Iris said with a cheeky grin. I shot her a look causing her make a face back at me.
"Serena, can you come out here?" My boss said.
I sighed walking out the room, ignoring my friends "ooooooo"s. Sometimes I wonder, if they're 18 or 8.
"What's up?" I asked leaving the back room.
"This is Luke, he's going to start working here." Gerard said.
"Okay." I said uninterested.
"Train him." Gerard said with a chuckle.
I rolled my eyes and looked at Luke.
Scrawny and tall. Very very tall.
"Well...take him in!" Gerard said laughing.
I looked to Luke then walked back to the room.
"Give her some time, she's a softie." I heard Gerard say to Luke. I rolled my eyes going back to my friends.
"Who's the dude?" Lily asked sitting up.
"Luke." I said grabbing a gun.
"What's he doing here?" Skylar asked.
"He's our new worker." I said with a smirk.
"Get ready." I said tossing him the gun. He grabbed the gun quick, keeping a blank look on his face.
I shrugged and walked into the shooting room.
"Shoot." I instructed sitting on the metal table.
He nodded and took shooting stance aiming at the target.
"Any day now?" I said getting annoyed.
He shot 5 times. And missed each one.
"Wow there Blondie, I actually thought you'd make at least one." I said chuckling.
He gave me a look and handed me the gun. I arched an eyebrow and took it from him. I took a breath and shot a few times at the target, my bullet going through the center every time.
I handed the gun back to him.
"Try again." I said to him.
I observed him closely this time, watching him closely.
"Stop." I said after a few more tries.
"You're too tense, you aren't focused, you're too stiff and you're holding the gun wrong." I said.
He nodded with a firm look.
"Go again." I said.
After about 10 minutes of this I decided I was done.
"Take a break." I said. At this point he'd only made 4 successful shots.
He nodded handing me the gun.
"It's yours." I said walking out. I tossed a 50 in the register paying for his new gun.
"How'd ya do?" Calum asked when Luke entered.
He shrugged and stood beside me. I moved over a bit giving him a look.
"Don't worry, we all sucked when we started. Calum still does." Lily said.
"No I don't!" He said pouting.
"Laiken was the worst of us. She could barely shoot with out flinching." Skylar said.
I rolled my eyes taking out my phone. It was 9:42 and we had to go.
"Let's go." I said to the girls.
"Already?" Iris whined.
"Yes." I said shooting a look at her.
"Bye Cal." I said giving him a weak smile.
"Blondie." I said nodding, not making eye contact.
"Leaving?" Gerard said.
"Yup. See you tomorrow." I said giving him a quick hug.
I walked into the car waiting for the girls.
"Shit." I said when I realized I didn't have my gun.
"I'll be back." I said running back into the building.
"Couldn't stay away?" Calum said chuckling.
I rolled my eyes walking into the back room. I was amazed when I saw Luke shoot a few times getting the target each time.
"Wow." I said surprised as I got my gun.
"Where'd that come from?" I asked stepping towards him.
He shrugged placing his gun down. After a moment of silence I decided this conversation was going no where.
"I'll see you tomorrow, I guess." I said to him.
He nodded following me out the door. I said bye to Calum and Gerard again, going back into my car.
