Mina's destiny
As Mina. Turned around, she noticed something missing, for the third time, she checked her wardrobe, nothing. "where could they be?" she pondered as she brushed the caramel blonde side fringe out of her grey eyes. Her aunt was leaving for london in less than an hour for her meeting and Mina couldnt find her favourite pair of slippers she gave her for her birthday. It wasnt normal minas aunt liking a gift from her niece but these pair of slippers were one thing she was grateful for and now mina couldnt find them!
"come on Mina!" she bellowed down the white tiled coridoor that Minas aunt called the landing. Mina searched frantically high and low. But still found nothing. If her aunt caught her in her own room she would go loopy. Mina thouht about the possibilities she could say she was lending good ole aunt some of her cherry red lipstick, but then why would she come out with a pair slippers? Looks like i have to Mina thought. She sighed and shoved her aunts silk dressing gown into the suitcase.
Mina crept into her room and was greeted by her fuming aunt who was holding the slippers in the air.
"oh you found them, well done aunt liz" Mina laughed, hoping her aunt would find it as funny as she pretended it to be. But to Minas amazement, her aunty laughed. "im so glad you had them in your room" she smiled Mina was confused but didnt say anything incase it ruined the moment.
"you are?" Mina asked sustaining the same smile through confusion.
"of coarse, if they werent in your room, i wouldnt have an excuse to punish you" Minas aunt snarled. She threw the slippers at Mina and walked out, slightly adjusting her scarf. Mina starred at were her aunt was and then tilted her head slightly, focusing on the picture of her mother on her dressing table. 4 years now. Mina thought as she heard the shallow heals of her shallow aunt go down the white flight of stairs. Mina sighed. I wish you wouldnt make me live with aunt Liz mum. She turned her head to face the other pucture on the other end if the dressing table and smiled at her father who freakishly smiled back.
Minas dad was on a holiday expedition for work, in germany. Out ofall the nice hot counties, they hAve ro pick germany. Mina remembers thinking as she watched her dad drive away in the family car. Its almost 4 months dor you dad. Why did you have to make aunt liz be my sitter? I can take care of myself. Mina awoke from her daydream of forgotten memories when her alarm clock rang. Her taxi will be here any minute! Mina thought as she walked back into her aunts room and slung the slippers in the suitcase wich she then zipped up after making sure all the medical stuff and toiletries were in a seperate bag in the side pocket. That was everything, she hoped if not when aunt liz came back she would be fuming.
Downstairs seemed unusual. Mina never really went downstairs only to eat but Mina never really ate either. Her aunt was waiting at the door. Her eyes fixed on Mina looking around as if inspecting the place. "well youv lived her for just about 4 months Mina, it cant look that strange to you," Aunt liz called trying to wake Mina frim her inspecting phase. It worked and mina decided to join her aunt at the door, waiting bringing back memories about waiting for her mother to return home, all of a sudden getting a phone call from the ambulance to tell us that she had been in a nasty car crash but that the procdedure they had to do was quick and easy and had a high survival rate. A beeping horn awoke Mina from her daydream and she handed the suitcase over "you carry it. Mina your punishment for stealing my slippers, while i am away, you may not go outside, at all" Mina was speachless at such a harsh punishment for a simple misunderstanding. But she didnt say anything incase she made the punishment harsher. "see you in a few days aunt liz" Mina smiled wondering if she would hug her, go on just one small hug to show you really do care, even if it is the slightest Mina thought. No such luck. "by the way, Mina, it is aunty elizabeth." and with that aunty elizabeth got into the black taxi and Mina watched the third car with a family member drift off into the distance.
