Every dystopian story starts with an uprising, all excpet mine. Animeia started when technology began to take and rot out the world. Soon we were so consumed with this new gadget we became lazy. As the centuries past we were so reliant on technology that when The Darkening happened our society fell hard.

It was during The Darkening that evil masterminds sprouted up and began rewiring all the gadgets. People believed The Darkening happened becuas of too much electricity being used. That's at least what the history Floppies say. The Darkening lasted for a total of fifty years, in that time America was destroyed by laziness, obesity, and lack of common sense. Only the few citezens who kept to the old ways of pen and paper survived by keeping themselves alive by hunting, creating shelter, and of course staying away from technology.

Eventually when the technology came back even the Oldies, who were the ones that survived caved in. Soon the evil masterminds who caused The Darkening in the first place created Animeia which at first was a wonderful Utopia. That is until President Commodore began to create all the laws and that was when things began to spiral out of control.

President Commodore began to set up laws like: If you are over the age of twenty and do not have a job you will be killed. That law was made becuase President Commodore believed that all non working class citezens would be a hindrance to the society and all in it as they would take up space.

Another law was passed soon after proclaiming that due to overcrowding in the main cities any second daughter is the limit and any third son is forbidden and would be killed unless special permission.

Still things were not horrible enough for President Commodore, so he put up several Sectors. In each Sector there was a dominant job. The Sectors were Berlin, Florence, Munich, Philadelphia,  Pittsburgh, Ulster, and Dublin. Each worked peacefully under the watchful eyes of the Dominators who would report back to President Commodore, those who rebelled were never heard from again.

But all of this was seventy-five years ago. There have been more laws, more Dominators, deaths, and havoc. Yet no one hasnt rebelled because they are all afraid to.
