Another oppressing day?

Sara's POV

I sigh as i clean up the counter of my family's store. We were lucky enough to be one of the few somewhat wealthy families in Providence Dublin. Dublin was one of the poorest of Providences but ceratintly not the poorest. 

 I watch as Joseph walks into the store with his older brother Evan. Joseph was one of my best friends and probably my only best friends in Animeia. He smiles to me,"Its raining again Sara," he whispered and my eyes widen. Evan rolls his eyes,"Go be kids i can watch the store." I hug Evan and then grab Jospeh's hand before running out to find the rain pouring down the porch.

My grin widens as i walk out and open my arms. The nice cold rain felt good against my warm fair completic skin. I could tell Joseph was watching me like i was crazy. I might have been given the way i was acting. In Animeia we didnt get a whole lot of time for playing once we got out of Middle School. 

Joseph grins with me and we dance in the rain. However being the klutz i am i slip and end up tackling him. But instead of blushing like i thought i would we laugh and i smile happily. I loved the rain, however that was short lived as the Dominators began to run around the streets causing a disruption as they took several teens around our age for the Preliminary. The Preliminary was a physical, mental, and emotional test. It was Dublin's turn to do the Preliminary since each Providence does one every seven years.

I glance to Evan who was running the shop and i run in and tell him to tell my parents about the Preliminary. Anyone over the age of fourteen would be put into the Preliminary. The Preliminary not only decided if you lived or died but what kind of job you got, what kind of person you married, how many kids you can have, and of course what house or Providence you live in.

Soon our head Dominator grabbed hold of Joseph and i. Our head Dominator was Musitler. Musilter had a bushy mustache with gray on the end. His stomach was clearly protruding and hsi brown eyes reflected and said kill. It was said he was the first in all of Animiea who recieved a 100% on the Preliminary. 

In no less then ten minuets all of the teens over fourteen were piled into a Hoverbus. It was packed as i was squished into Joseph. "I cant believe i forgot about this," i mutter and Joseph nods,'I know you dont forget anything at all,"

 But then i realized that the Preliminary doesnt happen on a Monday......
