"There have been many murder cases lately. What a headache! I deserve a break! How many cases do they expect me to crack? I've seen three corpses over the week. But the best part is, I could sleep peacefully, even after all this. You know why? Because I got used to it," said John Carter, a successful and young detective who had solved over thirty cases within a year of joining. He became a detective at the age of twenty-four, and would be blowing candles the next day, celebrating his twenty-fifth birthday. With a height of 5'4", deep blue eyes that are bluer than the seas, and black hair that is darker than the night, he could mesmerize any woman within a matter of seconds.

"Quit your whining. You only see the corpse while I see the story behind it when a member of the family comes down drowning in tears. You do the cracking but I do the rest. We cops are more or less the messengers of the devil. We are the ones to inform the family about the news that would break their heart and soul. We are the ones who see their grief and sadness. They see our faces while hearing the news. And we are the ones to console them. Not to mention the paperwork that's included. And with the recent number of increasing murders, things have been tight in the station. I work more than you do.", said Alex, a high rank police officer with twelve years experience in the field. Being 5'6", with brown eyes and golden hair shining brighter than the blazing sun, and with the perfect physique, he has been climbing the steps to success in an incredible pace.

"Well at least I don't have to worry about stuff like that. I have enough money to live a king's life. After all, I'm just fifty. I still have a long way to go, long way to live. To live like a king.
I've been at the top for the past ten years, ever since my father passed away. He was a good man. I wish he was alive to see and cherish my growth. Well, but we all know that isn't possible. Now we can only hope that he looks at me from the heavens," said Raymond, Alex's cousin, and the owner of a successful multinational company. He was 5'7", and had hair, whiter than the moon and black eyes that were as calm as a summer cloud.

"Bill please", said Raymond. The three of them finished eating their dinner and were headed to their homes, just like every other Friday night.

"Today maybe my treat. But tomorrow's on you. You better be prepared with a million dollars birthday boy, coz we are gonna crash down the roof and party hard tomorrow.", said Raymond.

"Of course my friend! Anything is fine as long as I don't see a corpse tomorrow," replied John, who was gonna throw a big party, celebrating his silver jubilee.

John was peacefully dozing off, when his phone rang early in the morning.
" Sir! It's urgent. We need you here immediately. There has been a murder at the fifth Avenue "

Jack went to the crime scene, to the place where he had gone a million times before. To Raymond's house, staring at the corpse of his close friend.
