EPILOGUE

THE DAY AFTER ALEX'S ARREST:

POLICE STATION, 4:00 P.M. :

"As the only blood relative of Mr Raymond, Alex is in prison, there is no other heir for the company.Hence, the company is now owned by the CEO, Mr Mark.

The company is now provided with only 20%of the profits. The rest of the money is distributed to orphanages across the country. All the other assets of Mr Raymond is given to the government. According to his will, all the 7 houses that belong to him are now being converted into hospitals and schools. All his business partners have been inspired by his good deeds and have started contributing more to  society.

This world has surely lost a great person.

On other news.."

Harrison switched off the television.

" Why would Alex do something like this? He was a great man. Would someone go that far just for money?", asked Harrison.
"I know it can be hard to digest sir. But Alex killed Raymond, and that truth cannot be denied.", replied John. "You're correct. But he still dosen't accept his crime."
"Which guilty person ever accepts their crime, sir?",asked John.

GRAVEYARD, 6:00 P.M. :

John was standing before his father's grave.

"Hey dad. Its me again. I don't know if you can see or hear me. But if you can, i know you would have been looking over me from there. After all, that's the promise you made. You know the reason I'm here.
Yes dad. I killed him. The two people who were the reason for your death have been punished. One can never come to this world, and the other can never see the outside world."

"Why didn't you submit the recording between Alex and Raymond? It could have proven that Raymond was guilty right?"

John was seeing his father. A hallucination. The last time he had visions of his father was on the night of the incident.
There was a tread drop of tear running down his fatigued cheeks.

"You again huh? for a fragment of my imagination, you sure do appear too often. Anyways, what you asked was a good question. If i had submitted the tape, all his assets would have been frozen and then would have been taken in by the government. The only good thing he had done in his life was the will. He stated that if Alex was not in a state of deserving his assets, then all of that will be donated for the orphanages, schools and hospitals.
As much as I love revenge, I also want to help the society. That's why I was fine with the world calling him innocent."

John had finished talking with his father and left the graveyard, just when his phone rang. It was Paul, from the forensics department.

"What is it Paul?"
"You killed him didn't you?"
"WHAT?"
"Don't lie to me. I know how they both killed your father. I know you did it. I just want you to admit it."

John was totally shocked and surprised. How did he know about this? He hadn't told this to anyone before. Then how?

"I know what you're thinking. How did I know all this, isn't it? Well, its easy. I've been in this profession for only the past four years. Before that, I was...",
Paul paused for a moment. John wasn't expecting this. He left no proof. Then how?

John grew with anger and the sense of revenge once again. This time, it was more fierce. He knew what was Paul gonna say next.
