¶Sometimes when you're broken, they'll always be someone out there that can fix you. Maybe not completely, they'll probably still be those scratches and scars, but at least your pieces are back together again. And that's what matters.

5 months later...

Trent's POV

She never texted.

That's all I can think about, five months after the dinner with the Davis family. Gina never actually texted. In a way it stung, she'd seemed so interested in being friends and so was I, she was pretty nice and funny and beautiful. It was shocking that I've always been in the same school with her yet I never noticed her.
I'd wanted to text her, but then the fact that she never made an effort to text me felt like I was probably just someone to talk to only once.

I picked up my phone and contemplated on whether or not I should text her. Would she respond?
Before I could contemplate any further. Tracie barges into the room her eyes blazing. I sigh inwardly and drop my phone getting ready to hear her complain about something related to....
"David has a new girlfriend!" she screeches.
Okay wow, not expecting that.
"How sure are you?" I ask, using the tactic that's worked whenever I wanted her to get her facts straight.

It doesn't work today.

"He posted a video of him asking her out on his Instagram,"she says, flashing her iPhone screen at me. I see a beautiful red head girl squealing Oh. My. God as David is on one knee holding up something that looks suspiciously like a ring.
"I thought you said you unfollowed him?!" I ask. "I did, but I still check up on him, you know... To see how He's coping. Not to see him on one knee asking another girl to be his girlfriend. He said he'd never date a redhead,"she says.
"Well, if she looks like that then you can't exactly blame him, she's really.......OW!!" I exclaim and glare at Tracie. She just pinched me with those jewel studded claws of hers.
"Fine! The redhead is very ugly and I don't get what David sees in her," I say in an exasperated tone. Tracie smirks at me,"Thank you!"
"Now I need to call Cara," she says, and leaves.

I roll my eyes and stare at my phone again.

"If she didn't text maybe she didn't want to talk to me, I should just leave it like that," I say.
With that in mind. I drop my phone into my back pocket.
