My nerves were spiked as I took my seat in first block. I took my seat behind Emma and in the middle of all the teenage wolves of my pack.
"What happen?" Emma asked, her eyes showing real concern.
"Nothing." I snarled and she shrank back. I sighed "I'm sorry." I whispered.
It wasn't that I was angry with her or anybody for that matter. I just found out my mate is the Vampire Prince!
What is my pack gonna think?
Not only am I being forced to marry the blood sucking demon but we were meant to be.
I couldn't work out my feelings for him. One moment I wanted to run my lips all over him but the next I wanna rip out his throat with my fangs.
I growled at myself in frustration and Emma played a reassuring hand on my shoulder. I smiled my thanks as the teacher begain his class.
The day was long and finally over. I was itching to get home. Wanting to shed my human form as soon as possible. My wolf feeling trapped.
I made it home to find my mom in the dinning room with some of the pack.
Rick stood by my mother with a angered look on his face. His tall muscler form looming over my mother but she stood her ground and snarled at the male.
"How dare you question me?" she said, her voice like spikes.
I snarled my fangs sharp in my mouth.
Rick didn't submit, "Your position is slipping from you Naomi."
"I have three more days until the will runs out! Until then I am your Luna and you'll do as I say!" she snarled, her anger and domanice like death.
Rick tensed and growled low, "Three more days." he said and then with that him and two of the others that were here left.
I showed them my fangs and snarled at there backs. The two males jumped and ran off after Rick.
I looked to my mom. "What's going on?" I asked.
"Nothing you need to worry about." she said her face drained. She relaxed and walked to her room.
I trailed after her not wanting to give up so easily.
"Mom?" I said gently.
She sat on the end of her bed, looking tired and sad.
I sat beside her and we sat in silence for a moment.
"When an Alpha dies, the Luna takes the control of the pack until the Luna can find other Alpha." my mother explained.
"I am past my date, and you still haven't found your mate. Rick will take hold of the pack, and then start war with the Clans."
My heart missed a beat. War with the Vampire King. That the most stupidest idea ever. That would end badly for both sides.
And at the sudden thought of the Prince being threatened made me snarl.
My mom looked at me, confused.
"That will end badly for both sides." I said my fangs sharp once again
"I know and that's why I've made the peace treaty."
The peace treaty.
The whole reason why I'm marrying the Vampire Prince.
"Then why hasn't the union happened?" I asked.
My mother sighed, "The Clans want you to be of age, your only 17, they want you to be 18."
That's in three days, I thought. That is what Rick was giving her time for. It didn't think this was gonna work. I mean who did? A werewolf and a vampire? We've been enemies for as long as time. For them to now suddenly join groups is beyond crazy. Yet smart saving future generations from bloodshed.
But some how destiny knew this was gonna happen and therefore made my mate a vampire but not just any vampire, a prince.
"Mom." I said my voice cracking. I cleared my throat and squeezed my fingers with my fist. Anxiety making my hot and sticky.
"Yes Tay?" she asked looking over at me with concern eyes.
"It will be ok." I started my tongue feeling like cotton in my mouth.
"What you mean honey?" my asked knowing there was more to this talk.
"Well um..I want you to know that you shouldn't worry." I said.
"Honey just tell me." she said, the urgency and concern in her voice made me nearly choke on my words.
"A vampire is my mate."
Everything went silent and still. And for a moment I thought my mom wasn't breathing. She masked whatever emotion she was feeling so I didn't know what she'd do next.
"A vampire." she whispered.
I only nodded. Something snapped in my mother and her face brightened.
"Is it the Prince?" she asked.
I nodded. My mother face exploded into a ray of bright joy.
"I never thought I'd say this but thank god." she said, her voice relaxed as did her body.
"Really?" I asked real shock in my voice.
"Yes I mean this makes the union thing much easier....does he know?" she asked.
I shook my head, "Unless vampires have mates, witch I think they don't, no he doesn't."
"Mom we can't tell the pack." I said witch surprised me.
She looked shocked as well. "Why not?" she asked.
"It's bad enough I have to marry one practically against my will, what will the pack think of one being my mate? That's never happen before." I said real gear starting to nip my heels.
"Oh, honey." my mother said sythempy strong in her tone.
"Do what you gotta do." she said bring me in for a hug. I laid my head on her shoulder.
Breathed in my mom's fimilar scent.
"Thanks mom."
