The back of my head throbbed. I was laying on something hard. I opened my eyes only to see darkness. Total and utter black. I heard the slow beeping of a monitor. Wherever I was, I knew I was in trouble.
My treflexes were slow, and I couldn't move any part of my body. Was I strapped down? Had I been drugged?
"I know you're awake. No need to fake it." Came a deep voice that sounded vaguely familiar.
I felt a slight movement to my right. And then a breath at my ear. "I am going to have so much fun with you."
"Please. Let me go." I breathed.
Whoever he was ticked his tongue, "No can do my sweets. You are mine forever. And I think we should start the game now."
A game? His game would probably have me end up dead. Dead as the Johns he had murdered.
"Please. Don't do this. I'll do anything." I said desperate to stay alive.
He chuckled evilly. "I'm sure you would. But I have no wish to catch anything from a whore."
His retort stung me to the core.
"I have a different game in mind. Twenty questions. Each question you answer truthfully gains you a minute longer to live."
Answer truthfully. I could do that. Couldn't I?
"Do you agree?"
"Yes." I moaned.
A hand ran up my arm and stopped just before touching my left breast. "First question. Have you ever been in love?"
Love? What the hell.
"No. Never."
"Not even in college?"
"No."
"I thought you said you'd be honest. You don't want me to shoot you up with the syringe I have in my hand. Better try again."
I wanted to cry. I held back the tears that rimmed my eyes. He wouldn't see my like this.
"I don't know what you mean!" I was beginning to let the panic take over.
"Does Dean mean anything to you?"
Dean? What did he have to do with this?
"Y-yes. He was my college boyfriend."
"Didn't you love him?"
Truth be told. I didn't love Dean. I cared for him but I felt more for his brother.
"I cared for him. A lot."
"Is that why you threw him away and became a slut for his brother?"
I'm college I was damn near a nun. Slut was nowhere near my vocabulary. I couldn't say that now. How did this man know about that day?
"No. What happened wasn't planned. I never slept with Mason."
"No. That's right. You waited to spread your legs for the rest of Miami." His voice came out cruel and vicious.
I was gaining more feeling in my arms and I began to struggle. "I do what I need to do I can survive."
He laughed. "Keep telling yourself that sweetheart. You're no better than a street walker."
"What do you want? Just tell me and let me go!"
"I want you to admit that you never gave a fuck about Dean and you always wanted Mason!"
"No. I didn't always want Mason. My feelings for him just came. I didn't ask for them to change."
"You're a glutton for pain. I know what you did for Everett Dempsey. I've seen videos of you two. Shall we test that theory?"
He said videos? What videos? Is this how he knew about my life? I felt a prick in my arm and fire spread throughout the injection spot and travelled down my arm.
"Please. Stop. I'll do it. Whatever you want." My speech was slurred.
I felt a kiss being pressed on my lips lightly. "Admit you wanted Mason and I'll stop."
That's all I had to do. Admit my feelings for Mason were real at one point.
"Fine. Yes. I wanted Mason. But only after I realized that Dean and I were never meant for each other."
In a instant the blindfold over my eyes was ripped off. A blinding white light caressed my eyes. Blinking rapidly my eyes slowly adjusted to the light.
I scanned the room. It was stark white with no windows. My kidnaper was out of sight.
"Tell me who you are. And why I'm here!"
I heard the thudding of boots to my left above my head. "You're in for a surprise sweetheart."
He leaned into view. His red cap covered most of his face, creating a shadow which I couldn't focus on. I kept my stare on him.
Warm brown eyes were staring back at me. I was startled. It couldn't be. How and why? Was I dreaming this?
"Surprise!"
"Dean?" I asked incredulously.
He laughed again more evilly than before. "Try again sweetheart. Let me move closer for you."
Oh my God.
No.
I had fell into a trap.
"It was your fault. You stupid bitch. You killed Dean. And now you're gonna pay just like all your johns had to."
I attempted to move but couldn't. I was stuck and I knew I was going to die.
"Tell my brother hello for me. And don't worry. I'll make sure you get a proper burial."
I felt my skin being pricked again and the same fire spread, this time not stopping. I slowly fell into darkness.
I don't know what happened next.
Maybe you can tell me, when you read your morning newspaper.
