Today makes one year.

One year since I broke up with Cody.

One year since my mom said she was pregnant

One LONG year, Alli and I are still best friends, for me and Cody it's just different - of course, it's awkward, we don't talk unless we have to.

In this one year my mom had a baby girl named hazel, she's 4 months now, and I also had a boyfriend for about 3 months.

It was complicating, long distance, never as good as my relationship with Cody, nothing will ever compare to ours.

Lilly moved out so i feel really lonely, I feel like I don't have anyone anymore other than Alli but it just seems like she's always busy.

I could really use Cody's words of advice right now, I wonder if he knows it's been a year.

It really breaks my heart to know weve been apart for that long.

I heard a knock on the door

"Come in" I say knowing it's Alli.

She walked in to me sitting on the couch being a lazy bum.

" how are you doing?" Alli asks

She knows....

"Heart broken honestly, it makes me sad."

" oh " she says quietly

"Does he ever talk about me?" I ask

" you don't even know, it's all of the time" she replied

"I'm pretty sure I heard him even singing your name the other day in the shower"

Okay something made me smile today

" Cody was my first love, did you know that? " I asked Alli

" what about wes? The guy before him?"

" no no no no, you don't remember?" I say

" nope?"

"He tried to um rape me" I said looking down.

She didn't say anything just nodded, we talked for awhile just enjoying each other's company.

" so how's Cody today do you know?" I ask Alli

"He seems pretty bummed out, but I don't know if he realized it's today"

I just sat there in mid thought not even saying anything to Alli

My life has truly been one long roller coaster ride.

I just started crying.

" why me Alli? That's all I want to know" I say feeling like screaming but keeping it in

" it'll get better, I promise."

I just sat there not saying anything at all.

The rest of the day has been pretty good I guess, Alli's been over all day.

We had a Harry potter marathon, yes were nerds.

I was actually smiling for once, Alli always can make me smile

I heard the doorbell ring

"Pizzas here!" I said jumping up to answer the door.

I opened the door to see Cody standing there.

Oh good this is all I need. Not!!

"Uh-hey um what are you doing here? Come in?" I asked awkwardly, holding the door open.

He peeked around and saw Alli

" I need to talk to you, outside?"
