The mission was clear. This wasn't about your relationship with Sebastian anymore nor was it about killing Claude; it was about saving Ciel.
Ciel had others on his side that you and Sebastian would turn to for help because it was the only way you would be able to take down a demon like Claude. He was of top rank right next to Sebastian and the amount of power it would take to even wound him was a lot.
"A demon?" Baldroy asked, a cigarette hanging from the side of his mouth.
"I always knew there was something off about you," Finny said, a trace of fear evident in his eyes.
"Mister Sebastian, does this mean Master Ciel is in danger?" Mey-Rin asked.
"Unfortunately, yes," Sebastian confirmed.
"Wait, wait," Baldroy said, waving a hand around. "And you two are mates?"
"Yeah," you answered, feeling Sebastian's arm tighten around you.
"Well, all right," Mey-Rin said.
"All right?" you questioned.
"Yeah, we'll do anything to help!" Finny stated, now more cheerful.
So, the secret was out and the brigade was formed. It wasn't going to be an easy mission in the slightest, but it had to be done. Firstly, you had to find where Claude had taken Ciel during the night he acquired Ciel's contract from Sebastian. The brigade searched far and wide, in every corner of London to find where they were hiding.
Eventually, there was a break in the case. It was one of Funtom's warehouses near Manchester where the two were found. You gathered your forces and headed off in that direction like spiders crawling through the night, swinging on their webs and landing on the property.
Sebastian told everyone which direction to go in. He supplied each person with demon-killing equipment suited to their particular fighting styles and trusted them not to turn on him, as did you.
You, on the other hand, had your sword out and ready to wield. You weren't sure how any of this would turn out in the end, but one thing was clear: Claude needed to die. As the thorn in your side, it was imperative he be exterminated as soon as possible, especially to ensure Ciel's life on return.
With a fleeting look, you split up from Sebastian and went around to the back entrance to the warehouse. Stealthily, you picked the locked and slipped into the dark building with your guard up and hairs standing on the back of your neck in apprehension.
Claude was expecting you and Sebastian, but not the others. Whatever the demon was planning to do to Ciel was unclear and you were going to guarantee that nothing would happen to him.
Everyone was in position by the time you made it to one of the empty levels of the warehouse where light was brightening the otherwise darkened area. What you saw made you angry enough to grit your teeth and tighten your grip on the sword.
Ciel was tied to a chair with tape over his mouth, presumably so he wouldn't be able to give orders. It seems that Claude completely expected what was about to go down and he didn't want interference from his new Master.
You crept farther into the space and searched high and low for any sign of the demon. Suddenly, Ciel's head snapped up to look at you and vigorously shook his head while looking behind you. Instantly, you jumped forward just as a metal stand came crashing down where you had been standing.
Claude appeared seconds later and you readied your weapon. He was calm and neutral in his expression and you were glad he had no idea of the hell he was about to unleash upon himself.
"You think you are able to take me on?" Claude taunted.
"We stand toe-to-toe when you train me, Claude. This will only be different in the sense that I will prevail," you shot back.
"Ah--" Claude laughed "--but you missed one key detail: I always held back."
You tensed as he charged at you and you swung your sword around, but he caught it in between his hands. Smoke rose from where the steel contacted his skin, but he easily threw it away from him and you went flying back into the wall. You grunted loudly and stood just as quickly. You kept an eye on Ciel as you charged back at Claude and his attention was solely focused on you.
"Now," you muttered, jumping to the side just before you would have collided with Claude one more.
Out of nowhere, gun shots were heard and objects were thrown at Claude in a whirlwind of battle. Claude tried to avoid the assault as much as possible, but when Sebastian appeared and sent hundreds of demon knives barreling toward Claude, you knew it would be over.
Claude managed to skillfully dodge most of the blades, but got caught a few times all over his body, slowing him down more than anything. The assault soon ended, but Claude was still breathing, which wasn't good at all.
You approached his crouching figure and got down on one knee in front of him with your sword pointed at his chest. There was blood all over the ground and seeping from his wounds. Claude's glasses were broken and laying beside him in a pathetic heap, just as he was.
Baldroy, Mey-Rin, and Funny appeared with their weapons of choice by their sides and Sebastian was leading the pack. Mey-Rin went and untied Ciel, ripping the tape off his mouth and rejoining the brigade behind you seconds later.
"These years have been fun, Claude," you whispered, "but you made the pivitol mistake of overlooking some of the most important people in our army, now you have paid the price. Go to Hell you son of a bitch."
You drove the sword through Claude's chest without letting him get the last word. Claude's mouth dripped blood from the side and gurgling sounds were heard, but his body went limp and you shoved his dead corpse to the floor.
Was it over? You weren't sure, but as you peered over your shoulder at the people standing behind you, you hoped there was a happily ever after somewhere in your future.
