Chapter 22: My Baby.

(Toni's Pov) 

He looked at me taking a deep breath, I stared at his every movement. "The baby is gone, i'm sorry, Mr.Mahfud." As soon as the words left his lips my heart just stopped, everything around me disappeared as his words rang into my head. 

My hands slowly formed into a fist. "What the fuck!" I yelled punching the wall putting a dent to it causing everyone to jump. Turning to the doctor and walking up to him grabbing his collar pushing him against the wall. "You could of done something! What kind of hospital is this!" I shouted at him forcing myself not to kill him. 

Kevin grabbed my wrist. "Toni." He pulled me off of him. 

I clenched my jaw keeping my eyes on the doctor. "What was the cause of this?" Lori asked standing next to me. 

The doctor put his lips in a line sighing. "Pills." He answered, Lori gasped and I looked at him with wide eyes. 

"She never took pills." I told him confused. "The only thing she would take was her vitamins." The doctor shrugged. 

Sara walked over. "What if she was trying to kill the child, what if she took it without you knowing." My head snapped to her direction, Layla wouldn't kill her own child. "Maybe before she was trying to get rid of it, that's why she hid it from you in the first place, but her plan ruined when you found out." No, fuck no. 

"She wouldn't do something like that!" Lori shouted grabbed Sara's arm turning to face her. "When she visited me earlier today, she told me she was excited to have a child and have someone by her side when Toni goes to work!" Lori looked over at me. "Don't let her get into your head t-" I cut her off by raising a hand. 

Slowly looking up at the teary eyed woman. "I can't handle this right now." Walking away from them and out of the hospital, sitting on one of the benches with my face in my hands. "Why would you do this?" I whispered like Layla was beside me. "Why the fuck did you do it!" I shouted standing up kicking the bench. 

I heard heels click behind me turning around to see Holly standing there. "Hey." I rolled my eyes ignoring her stuffing my hand in my pocket. "I don't know Layla, but I know she wouldn't do such a thing." Her voice got closer to me, I closed my eyes feeling annoyed of her voice. 

She grabbed my hand gently making me flinch and pull it away from her. "Get the fuck away from me." I looked down in her feared eyes. 

"I love you, Toni." I closed my eyes not wanting to hear those words come from her mouth. "I can't stop thinking about, I try not to but every time I'm with Travis it doesn't feel anything like you." I felt my blood boil by her voice, the inner monster was coming out of my body. 

I grabbed her wrist tightening my grip, she looked up at me with teary and terrified eyes. "Stay the fuck away from me!" I said through my clenched teeth before pushing her away and letting her go, she instantly wrapped her hand around her wrist.
