Who Are You?

This poem is based on the nosy kangaroo from the Dr Suess book "Horton Hears A Who."

"Who are you?" asked the kangaroo.

"I am who I say, not who you choose.

I can be many, or just one.

I choose my own path, and way of life.

My life is a mystery from the start, but as I go through whether it becomes clearer or not,

I am still me, not anyone else.

I decide, not everyone else.

You cannot choose who I am, I'll choose myself, who I'll be.

Not you, not anybody else, just me."
