I was running in slow motion but the trees seemed to be speeding by. I stumbled my way into an open clearing and turned around just in time to see the large, gray wolf pounce on me. He had me pinned beneath him. I could see something reflected in his deep, blue irises. Something intelligent. Then he sank his teeth into my neck.

I woke up from my dreams gasping for breath and clutching my chest. My heart was beating a hundred miles a minute. I went to the bathroom and rinsed my face with some cold water. When I looked in the mirror, my face shocked me. My long, dark hair was a tangled mess and usually pale skin was flushed. My dark eyes looked tired and haunted. I had been walking up like this for the past month and it was because of my dreams. They would start off like the dream of the previous day ended but then it would change into something else. All the dreams had the wolf though, the large, grey wolf with the intelligent, blue eyes.

When I left the bathroom, my eyes landed on the clocking. Shit, I'm late! I stumbled around my bedroom, throwing on a pair of jeans and a yellow cardigan. I pulled my hair into a loose bun before grabbing my backpack and rushing out the door. During my hectic drive to school, I snacked on an apple and granola bar while scribbling down the answers to my English homework. My car swerved into the parking lot and towards my usually parking space only to find a black GMC with tinted, black windows parked there. Great! I sighed and got out of my car. I tapped on the window of the driver's side lightly. I looked down nervously as the window scrolled down.

"Yes?" A strong, masculine voice questioned.

I looked up and the first thing I saw were a pair of blue eyes burning into my own. I was lost for a moment. Those eyes were so familiar but I couldn't place it. I tucked some of my hair behind my ear with shaking hands.

"Um, you're kind've in my space." I stuttered.

His expressive eyes scanned me from head to toe and seemed to have glaze over.

"Sorry. Today's my first day. Hi, I'm Jimmy." He said and stuck a hand out to me.

I shyly took his and answered. "It's fine. My name is Willamina."

He gripped my hand firmly in his own and I could feel the heat radiating from him. "Willamina. What a beautiful name."

I blushed looked away from him. "Well, it was nice meeting you Jimmy. I'm just gonna... head off now."

"No I'll move." He said and began to get into his car.

"You don't have t-"

"No really. It's fine." He insisted with a wink. "I'll see you around."

I watched him peel out of the space smoothly and head to the other side of the lot. I then slumped against my car and took breath. What was that?

Jimmy's POV

I drove into the parking lot of my new school in a rage. Why was I even doing this? I released a frustrated sigh. I knew why I was doing this. I was doing it for Sophie. I felt my heart tighten at the sweet little girl who currently lays alone, protected in her bed. Sophie, My Sophie. The one I would capture the moon for and walk the surface of the sun if that meant keeping her safe and happy. I parked in the first space I found but didn't get out. Not but a moment later there was a light tap on my window. I looked out the glass to see a beautiful girl standing out side and who seemed to be looking directly at me. I stared at her long dark hair and the smooth panels of her face. She looked so delicate. My wolf was in a frenzy right now and screaming at me to mate this girl right now. She averted her eyes when I started to scroll down the window.

"Yes?"

She nervously tucked some hair behind her ear.

"Um, you're kind've in my space." Her soft, sweet voice practically whispered.

I allowed my eyes to slid over her body which wasn't a good idea. I barely had control of my wolf and she looked so tempting in her little, yellow sweater. Tempting but innocent.

"Sorry. Today's my first day. Hi, I'm Jimmy." I held my hand out to hers, just for an excuse to touch her.

"It's fine. My name is Willamina." I held her soft hand into my own.

Willamina. What a beautiful name." I voiced my thoughts out loud.

An arousing blush covered her cheeks as she said, "Well, it was nice meeting you Jimmy. I'm just gonna... head off now."

"No, I'll move."

"You don't have t-"

"No really. It's fine." I cut in, shooting her a wink. "I'll see you around."

I drove to the other side of the parking lot and smirked when I heard her release an unsteady breath. My mate.
