Chapter 3

Its lunch and I picked up Anna from science and she is jabbering on about how much she hates dissections and that it's so inhumane to kill animals for student's knowledge. Yes she is vegetarian if you haven't already guessed. We walk out on to the oval and meet my friends. Jamie Cole, Rachel Cross, Billy Hamilton and... Hayley Newman, I stole your spot and I don't care Hayley? I don't know how I feel about that, I feel excitement and resentment at the same time, and butterflies in my stomach? What is this all about?

"Hey guys, this is my best friend from when I lived in Boston, Anna Highland." Everyone looks and checks her out, especially Billy. He looks interested, and I can see that she is skimming him over as well.

Billy P.O.V

"...Anna Highland" I turn and see a stunning girl standing right in front of me. Gorgeous waist length brown hair, sparkling blue eyes and a beautiful smile that makes me smile.

"Hey guys!" she says, she is so happy and cute, and I hope she is single.

"Hi I'm Billy," I take her hand and shake it formally then wink at her. Let her know that I can take a good joke.

"Hey Billy" She laughs, and that laugh.

Anna P.O.V

"Hey Billy" I laugh, Billy with the messy brown hair and blue eyes. Good messy though. And he is the perfect height for me. I almost forgot about Asher for a moment.

Okay I admit I do like Asher, a lot. I have for a looong time. And when I found out we were moving to Tennessee when he lived I was so excited. I hoped we could maybe have a shot at being together, but he doesn't seem that interested. Besides this Billy guy is quite cute.

Asher P.O.V

I decided that I want to try and make peace with Hayley. I can already tell that it wont be easy but I am willing to try. She makes me forget on the silly little crush that I seem to have for Anna. I really want to see if I can start something with Hayley. She is pretty cute, blonde hair, blue eyes and that smile, she is so happy. Apart from when she sees me... but that will soon change...

"Hey guys, this is Hayley Newman, she is new here." Rachel says.

"Hey Hayley" Everyone choruses.

"Hey guys, oh and Jerk! Great to see you here as well" she adds smiling at me. Seriously she is still calling me Jerk?? Hmph.

...hopefully it will change.
