Green's POV
"Go, Charmander!"
"Char!"
I watched as my Charmander used ember on a Pidgey. I smiled and threw a Pokeball at the wild Pidgey. I picked up the Pokeball when it stopped shaking. I turned to Charmander and held out his Pokeball.
"Great job, Charmander! Return!" I ordered.
It disappeared into the Pokeball right as a girl screamed. I followed the sound and ended up in a large field.
"Just die!" A voice yelled.
"Get away from her! I'll be your opponent! Leave her out of this!" Another voice ordered.
That sounds like Red! I thought.
I ran closer to see a girl struggling to her feet. Red sent out his Pikachu and had it fight against the Gastly the man he was fighting had. In a matter of minutes, Red was knocked unconscious after the man sent out a Rhydon.
"Let's go, Charmander!" I yelled, throwing its Pokeball.
~~~
I got to my feet when I heard her scream. I had let her stay in my room, and Red was already awake and wandering around. I pushed the door to my room open to see her sitting up, tears running down her cheeks.
"G-Green?" She stuttered.
I smiled and sat on my bed in front of her. "It's been a while, Blue. I'm sure you want to know how you got here."
She shook her head. "I think I know. Red and I were attacked by that Team Rocket man. His Pokemon was too strong and attacked me physically. I remember the same thing happening to Red, and I tried to stay awake when I heard you, but I couldn't."
I reached out and held my hand to her forehead. I frowned when I felt her temperature. She was burning up.
"How long have you been sick?" I asked.
"A while now. I'm not concerned about myself. My Pokemon are more important."
Blue was a childhood friend of mine. She would train her Pokemon during the rain and get sick all the time.
~Flashback~
"Come on, Blue! It's raining! Get in here before you get sick!" Grandpa Oak ordered to my friend.
"I don't care if I get sick! Pichu is weak! I want to help it get stronger!" Blue answered.
We were only eight years old. Pichu was Blue's favorite Pokemon, so Gramps decided to give it to her. Now she wouldn't even come inside when it rained. She wanted a Pikachu now that she could train Pichu.
"Get in here now, Blue!" Gramps ordered again.
I pushed my way past him and ran to Blue. I grabbed her arm right as she made Pichu return to its Pokeball. She let me drag her inside of the Pokemon Lab, also known to her as my home.
"I don't want you to get sick! Stop training during the storms!" I yelled.
"Pichu will remain weak if I don't help it evolve!" She protested.
"You'll die before you see it evolve if you keep this up!"
~End Flashback~
I made her lay back down, and she stared at me. I played with her hair before I stood up and walked away.
"Get some more rest." I said, stopping at the door.
"Green?"
"Hm?" I looked at her over my shoulder.
"Here." She held a Pokeball out to me.
"What is it?"
"Pikachu. He wants to see you."
"He?"
"Yeah."
I walked over to her and took the Pokeball. I faced it toward the ground, and she told the Pokemon to come out.
At my feet stood a Pikachu with a similar hairstyle as me. I got on my knees and looked at it.
"Hey, Little One. I bet you don't remember me." I said.
"Pika!" It answered, its green eyes staring into mine.
I laid my hand on its head and looked at Blue. She was watching me.
"I wanted to say thanks. You saved me and Red from getting hurt." She whispered.
I got to my feet. She smiled at me when I sat in front of her.
