She Returns to the Land

"Mommy?" says Emma in her bed. Emma is an adorable blonde 5 year old girl that loves going on adventures and tea parties. "Emma? What's wrong honey? Are you OK?" asks her mom. "Yes mommy. I had a bad dream. A lady was trying to take me," she says. Emma's mom picks her up as Emma stares at her window, wondering what's out there. "Mommy, there's a lady out there," says Emma. Emma's mom looks out the window, "No honey, there's no lady out there. You're safe with mommy." "But mommy, she's right next to the window," Emma says as she points to her bedroom window. Emma's mom asks, "Is she the lady that tried to take you?". " Yes," she whispers while shaking scared. "She is a lady that watches children play outside, then takes them in the woods, where she hurts them, and sometimes eats them. In my dream, people said she was killed by a child that she captured. And she still walks around with a knife in her hand and hurts children in their sleep. And sometimes just takes them when they are alone. Her place in the woods is still there, and no one dares to go there." Emma's mom is shocked at what she is hearing. So she says, "It's OK honey. Nothing is going to hurt you. You are probably seeing things. You are safe with me. Let's go sleep in my room." "OK," says Emma. And they both go to bed, but Luna, Emma's mom, is still terrified. So she locks all the doors and windows in the house. And they both are asleep, just like that.
