Chapter 1: Unkown Murder

20 1 1

This is the time where the trial begins. A trial that everyone fears. However, I will try my best to convince my innocence because I was accused for murder. A murder that I didn't commit. The crime was located at a basement where someone unknown was killed. That was all I remember. I completely blacked out when I saw the body and the police found me in the basement with the body. That's probably why they thought I was the murderer. I don't remember anything before that, but if I don't prove my innocence, then I'm done.

Trial is in session. I have no lawyer, so I have to defend myself if I can. That's why this court room is "special" to our Government. We have to prove pur arguments ourselves. The person I had to argue was a girl named Heather, who claims to be the victim's sister. Everyone grew silent as she rises up for her presentation, including the judge.

Heather finally spoke, "As we all know, when the last time we saw Nick, he was lying next to a table where the dead body was found. Nick was holding a bloody knife when,'blacked out.' So tell me, how did you even found that knife?" Heather asked, while waiting for my answer and chuckled softly.

"I... I don't remember anything. All that I know is that I didn't killed anyone... and I don't remember finding a knife!" I hesitantly responded, trying to defend myself.

"Wow, that's some great evidence, am I right?" Heather sarcasicly responded. I heard small laughter by the audience behind me. Something about that tone from her disturbed me. As if she was putting pitty on me and threatening me at the same time.

Heather explained the rest of her evidence that claims that I committed murder on my best friend named Matt. She convinced the audience that I led Matt to the basement and stabbed him with a knife due to the fact that I thought that he's nieve, goofy personality was annoying. Her source of evidence seems convincing to the audience.

I'm running out of time. If I don't remember what happened or at least start a good argument, then I'm done for. After Heather ended her presentation, the judge called on my turn. I slowly walked toward the audience shaking, like a child doing a school project. At least some of Heather's evidence gave me some of my memories back. Little detail about the event has to help me to begin my claim.

All that I remember so far is that I used to be a good friend of Matt. I always come over to his house every week. Every time we see Heather, she gives me a strange look. So far so good. But not enough to prove my innocence. I'll probably improvise for now.
