I made the courageous decision to love you,
The decision to give you every part of me including the ones that haunted me,
The decision to give you my best including things I never thought existed,
The decision to dedicate my days and my thoughts,
But these were the best decisions I've ever made,
I gave you every piece of me when you gave me none of yours,
I gave you the pieces that were torn and faded when you couldn't give me one that was as lavish as the sunset in Agra,
I felt like the faint buzzing in your ear as the room becomes still and objects loose their figure,
Like the subtle wind that follows you and always seems to blow in the wrong direction,
I knew you wanted the buzzing and unsound wind to end,
But you had every piece of me and I wanted more of yours,
The euphoria in my awakening and the glory in my sleepless nights,
But those little pieces I've burnt,
I've burnt and the ashes I've foreclosed alongside my agony and perplexity,
These pieces I've made to be my own not letting any doors close where the sound of striving is faint,
I made the courageous decision to love you and never again.
