Rex POV

I walked down to the GAR mess hall, just wanting to get war off my mind when I see Ahsoka talking to Cosmos, a clone who's a little too friendly with her whenever she's near. Immediately jealousy and anger boils inside me for some odd reason . I walk right up to their table just in time to hear one of Cosmos' worst mistakes ever. "You know Commander you are very appealing , " as those words fly out his mouth Ahsoka already trying to distance herself, gives him a forced smile and says "thank...you?" I reach the table and give Cosmos my most deadliest glare ever. It even scares Ahsoka, but at the same time while Cosmos is trying to avoid eye contact, she mouths "thank you" I acknowledge it and start at Cosmos " What do you think you're doing Cosmos ?!" As that Mach- yell leaves my mouth Kix and Fives walk over to us.
Ahsoka's POV

I sit down in the GAR mess hall hoping to catch Rex so we could maybe have lunch together, when a very uh.... mischievous clone by the name of Cosmos sits near me and checks my body out. Which immediately made me wish Rex would arrive sooner, I'm not one to dramatically call out someone for..... admiring my..... person, I don't like making scenes. so if a clone or male (especially clones) steps out of line, uh..... inappropriately, I let Rex do all the talking for me. I... don't know why but it's like I like it when he protects me.... I catch myself thinking inappropriately about.... Rex..... Oh Kriff, now I have to go meditate, I hate meditation.
All of a sudden Cosmos goes straight to inappropriate and says "you know commander, you're very appealing " ohhh, you are soooo lucky Rex isn't here, I say a nervous "thank you" and then see a very familiar face, well Cosmos looks like your luck just ran dry. Rex is standing right in front of our table giving him the coldest glare I have ever seen him give in quite some time. Cosmos tries to avoid eye contact by looking the other way, bad idea. I take advantage of his distraction and mouth a relieving " Thank You" to Rex who quickly acknowledged it and than begins scolding Cosmos, so badly that Kix and Fives had to calm him down as they leave with Cosmos, I see both Kix and Fives give him a good whack in the back of the head. Which made me giggle, Rex smirked as he sat down, and then asks me " are you alright, he didn't try anything "funny" did he?" I give him a smile "No, I don't think he would chance it." He chuckles " he'd better not, not on my watch" we stare into each other's eyes , which gives me a strange feeling in my stomach, which doesn't hurt but.... Makes me feel......Excited. He breaks the silence " so... wanna get some chow?" Giving me an amused look . I respond with a "sure , actually that's what I was doing till Cosmos came over to..... chat." He gave me a confused look " waiting for me? Why?" I laugh, " because you are my best friend, and I was kinda lonely and hungry ." He laughs and we spend the rest of the day talking.
Rex POV

As we talked I couldn't help but feel a weird sensation in my stomach, not of pain but of .... Excitement, which I couldn't shake until I headed back to my quarters .
