A Hunter's Forbidden Promise

Where am I?

A/N: Yay! I got this chapter out on time! I feel accomplished!

Luffy's eyes fluttered open. His first thought was, Another vision...Wow, Zoro's so cool! And he laughed. Then he realized he had no idea where he was. He sat up in the fluffy bed he was laid in complete with blood red sheets. The carpet he stepped on was soft and black. The walls were a creme color, and so was the ceiling.

"Your bedroom is so cool!"

"Um, thanks, I guess."

Luffy fought the urge to fall over. What was that...?

"Are you good at swimming?"

"...I guess."

"Shishishi! I can't swim at all!"

Luffy looked around, squinting, as if trying to spot something that wasn't there. Was that another vision...? I can't see anyone, but I can hear them! He groaned, adjusting his hat on his head. He managed to stumble through the bedroom door without anymore vocal assault.

The hallway was a different matter though.

"Why'd you do that, Zoro?"

"I don't know. Bored, I guess."

"Why do you like that hat so much?"

"It was a gift from a friend. A promise rests on this hat. Multiple do."

"...I have something like that too."

Luffy squeezed his eyes shut and leaned against the doorframe. He opened his eyes and saw a white katana hanging up on the wall with care.

"So this is it?"

"Yep."

"I hope you keep all your promises that are on that sword."

"Same to you, with your hat."

"Does this sword have a name?"

"Yes. It's Wado Ichimonji."

The name of the katana rang in the elder Luffy's ears for a moment as he watched the scene. Two small kids-one with green and one with black hair-stood in front of the meito katana, conversing. "What is going on...?"

The ravenette gripped the doorframe tighter, squeezing his eyes shut once again. He slowly walked across the hallway, holding a hand on the wall for support. He opened up a door at the end of the hallway, hoping it was the exit.

It wasn't. It was the living room.

"Zoro! You're going the wrong way! Again!"

"What? No I'm not!"

"Yes you are! The finish line is that way!"

"I know that! It just keeps moving! Dammit!"

"Shishi, Zoro's stupid!"

"Hey!"

"So..."

"Hm?"

"Do you ever drink blood, Zoro?"

"..."

"..."

"...Sometimes. But I can live without it."

"But I thought all vampires drank blood."
