Dance with me

Matteusz shecked himself one last time on the mirror. He fixed his jacket once more, before smiling in the mirror, thinking about the night ahead.

Matteusz’s eyes lit up the moment he set eyes on his lover, who was standing in front of a black car. Charlie’s hair was slicked back and he was wearing a fancy black suit. He had that beautiful but shy usual smile of his plastered on his face.

“Hello”, Charlie said hesitantly. He was taken away by how handsome Matteusz looked.

“Hello”, Matteusz said, with a huge grin on his face, before kissing Charlie's delicate lips sweetly.

“Let's go, shall we?”, Matteusz suggested after pulling away.

“Ok”, Charlie agreed.

The ride to school went by fairly quickly. Matteusz was jammimg out and dancing to random songs on the radio, while Charlie tried not to laugh at his weird dance moves, but failed epically, especially when Matteusz tried to dance and sing along to “Fergalicious”.

As they got there, they saw all the other couples dancing under the colourful flashy lights. Their friends weren't there yet, so they decided to sit by themselves near the buffet, so they can grab a snack and talk.

After a while, a romantic song came on.

“Do I look lonely?
I see the shadows on my face
People have told me
I don't look the same
Maybe I lost weight
I'm playing hooky
With the best of the best
Pull my heart out my chest
So that you can see it too”

(A/N Gleek_runner this was for you)

Matteusz had seen how quiet and shy Charlie had been the entire time, so he decided to suggest something, so they can have some fun toghether:

“Dance with me”, he proposed, extending his arm, as a sign for Charlie to grab his hand.

“I-I don't know how”, Charlie stuttered.

“Oh, come on! I'll show you how!”, Matteusz said, dragging him along while walking through the crowd.

“I'm walking the long road
Watching the sky fall
The lace in your dress
Tangles my neck
How do I live?”

“Just grab my waste and follow my lead”, Matteusz guided him, with a loving smile on his face, and Charlie did so, rather hesitantly.

“One, two, three”, he counted.

“The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Seems so fitting for
Happily ever after
Whooo
How could I ask for more?
Lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelor”

Charlie lowered his face to see where Matteusz was stepping so he could follow him, but Matteusz raised it so they were staring at eachother.

“Look at me”, he advised.

“I'm cutting my mind off
Feels like my heart is going to burst
Alone at a table for two
And I just want to be served
And when you think of me
Am I the best you've ever had?
Share one more drink with me
Smile even though you're sad”

He tried to follow him, accidentally stepping on him a few times, which resulted in laughter by both sides and Charlie apologising every time.

“I'm walking the long road
Watching the sky fall
The lace in your dress
Tangles my neck
How do I live?”, Matteusz sang, while twirling Charlie.

“You know this song? I thing it's really nice, actually”, Charlie asked.

“Yes! Panic! At The Disco is one of my favourite bands!, Matteusz answered excitedly.

“The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Seems so fitting for
Happily ever after
Whooo
How could I ask for more?
Lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelor”

They kept dancing and dancing, and Charlie eventually got the hang of it. They did get a few weird looks while dancing, though, by teachers or jocks, but they chose to ignore that.

“The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Letting the water fall
The death of a bachelor
Oh oh-oh
Seems so fitting for
Happily ever after
Whooo
How could I ask for more?
Lifetime of laughter
At the expense of the death of a bachelor”

The song ended, and once that happened, they spotted a girl waving at them and trying to get their attention. They noticed it was April, which was coming towards them, with Tanya and Ram following her.

“Hey. Sorry for being late”, she apologised. “Did the two of you have fun alone?”, she asked.

The two boys turned their heads to look at eachother and laughed.

“Definitely!”, they both said.
