The Dawn of Realisation

They call me a traitor. Maybe I am. All I know is that I did what I had to.
I joined hands with Kronos, helped him rise. Least did I know that to him, I was just a pawn. By the time I realized my mistake, I had taken too many lives, broke the trust of the oh family I had (Thalia and Annabeth), I broke the trust of my friends and Kronos took over me. I killed myself to defeat Kronos (as that was the only way to defeat Kronos). After I killed myself, the fates took me away. Though my body was burried, they had my soul. They showed me all the lives I had taken. They showed me how their lives would have been if I didn't kill them. It was very painful knowing that their life would have actually been happy with the person they loved , but I had killed them and shattered all their dreams. The fates punished me for two years. I didn't say a word. I knew this was only fair.
If I had not joined hands with Kronos, I would've been with annabeth teasing her about her relationship with Percy. I would've been enjoying my evening with Thalia. I never told her, but I loved her. I fell for her electric blue eyes the minute I saw her. I couldn't take it when she died. I could see her come back alive if I hadn't joined hands with Kronos. How much hurt she must have felt when she got to know that I turned evil. She joined the hunters so she won't encounter me. I let the evil side of me take over and leave all the happiness I could have in my life.
My bad deeds couldn't be forgiven. I had to be punished. After 2 years of punishing me, the fates sent me to underworld. I was presented in the court of judgement. Hades himself gave the judgement. Hades said, "You were one of the main reasons for Kronos's rise; but in order to kill him, you killed yourself and for that, I reward you Elysium." At that moment, I didn't know what to say. I asked, "Why Elysium for me? I am a traitor. I broke the trust of my friends. I killed many innocent demigods." Hearing this, Hades smiled and continued, "Itd not about how you lived or what wrong decisions you took. It's all about what lessons you learnt and what decision you took at the end. You were a traitor but died a Hero and that's what matters." I had no words left. I bowed to him. He sent a guard to take me to Elysium.
When I reached Elysium, I went in search of my friends whom I expected to be here. I wasn't expecting them to be nice to me or jump out of happiness and hug me that I am in Elysium. After walking about 10 minutes in Elysium, I came across a lake. I saw two people by the lake. One boy and one girl. They were sitting on the beach. They were laughing. Their laughs were familiar. I took a few steps towards them to know if my guess was right and it sure was. They were none other than Selena Beauregard (daughter of Aphrodite) and Charles Beckendorf (son of Hephaestus). I called their names and they turned to see who was calling them. When they saw me, their smile immediately turned into a frown. Selena was coming for me with her face full of anger when Charles stopped her by holding her hand. She turned back to look at him. They had a silent argument and it looked like Charles won. He smiled at me. Both of them walked to me. As soon as they came near me, Selena slapped me (yes, u got that right. She slapped me right on my face). I told them I was sorry. I begged them to forgive me for my mistakes. Charles seemed to have forgiven me but Selena turned away. I can't blame her for that. After all, I was the reason for Charles's death. Charles asked me how I was. I replied that I was fine. Then he asked, "what happened to the war? Is it over?". Selena was still standing beside Charlie afraid to leave him alone with me. I told him what happened in the war and how I ended up here. After I finished, nobody spoke for a minute. Then Selena said," I'm happy that you realised your mistakes". She had tears in her eyes. Then Charles said,"since you realised your mistakes, welcome to Elysium!" I asked,"So you both forgive me?" They both looked at each other, smiled and looked at me and nodded. They asked me where I was going to stay. I said I don't know. They took me to a vacant house which was very spacious and had a lawn. The house was a two bedroom house. They asked me to take rest. They met me the next evening. Over the time, three of us became good friends.
A year had passed. Now, I had quite a good number of friends. All my friends knew my story. One evening, Selena and Charles came over to my house. They told me they were getting married in a week and had come to invite me. I congratulated them. I am very happy for them. I'm planning to choose rebirth to start a new life, but I won't be going without meeting Thalia. I'll wait for her. I know it's going to be a long wait but I will wait for her, bade her a proper goodbye and then choose rebirth.
Oh! I didn't tell my name, did I? I'm Luke Castellan and this is my story.
