Tell Me Stories

Tell me of stories,
Filled with wonder and awe,
Of worlds that existed before,
Or those that are far away.

Tell me of brave kings and noble princes,
With hearts that are kind and true,
Tested through and through,
Tell me of beautiful princesses,
With dazzling gowns and dazzling deeds,
Lovely tiaras and great demeanour.

Tell me of Valiant soldiers,
Who won great battles to save their people,
Or of wise ministers who built their homelands,
In faithful service to their kings.

Tell me of the streets too,
Where clever bandits,
Stole from greedy feudal lords,
To feed their families.

Oh the stories, how I love them,
Commoners turn into conquerors,
Horses speak to their owners,
Kisses wake up princesses,
Love turns beasts into princes,
And there is always a way to fix broken pieces .

Tell me of stories that inspire,
Give me the desire,
To be more than what I am,
Tell me stories and stories and stories,
Until my life is lit up,
With constant meditation.
