It happened so quickly, I could barely keep up.

The red alert light flashed, and we heard gunshots outside. A window broke, and several blighted stumbled in. A soldier is tackled and bitten, and a loud cry is heard and two gunshots later, both have bullet wounds in the head. Ryan stands above them with the smoking gun responsible.

I grab the item nearest to me and immediately go to work. I hold the autopsy scalpel and plunge it deep into the nearest blighted, but theres no getting the blade back. Michael is tackled, but Dyonna stomps it's head into the ground with her heel, and Michael throws up.

We are overrun quickly, but I act fast. I grab the dead soldiers gun, flick off the safety, and pray not to miss. They drop fast, but I've got a 30-round magazine and a hundred heads to hit. From there, our course of action becomes obvious.

"Run!" I bellow, and we all hear it. We are off the ground and at running pace within seconds, but it becomes useless as Exterminators come in with Torches and burn them down within the minute. They fall quickly, and the last embers are extinguished moments after as the smell of smoldering flesh lingers in the air.

"Are you alright?!" they yell to us. We all give nods of confirmation, although by the looks of it, it doesn't seem so. Hayden has his shirt torn, Ryan is limping, and Michael has scratch marks on his cheeks and arms. Michael is pulled to the side and a first-aid kit is in a guard's hands.

"What in the world was that?" Ryan exclaims.

"Your guess is as good as mine, but it wasn't as bad as it could have been," Dyonna says.

Michael returns with bandages on his body, and says, "Something has to have hinted them over. Rampaging hordes are almost unheard of unless something triggers them."

"Well last I checked, nobody's car alarm went off, and our rifle was silenced," Ryan says.

"I'm not exactly sure, but we can expect them to be unpredictable. I'll look further into it, and see what I can dig up," Dyonna says.

We all walk our seperate ways, and Hayden mutters something along the lines of "... like waking up to a bombing..."
