Hey, it's been what six years since the original story came out? I say it's time for an update. First, the Juiciers will get an overhaul.Far across the vast ocean, was a small, tropical island undiscovered by any man. At least until recently when a research crew mapping out whale migration routes came across it. Everything seemed normal at first, it was just your typical jungle full of wildlife, except there was no fauna to be seen. All they could find were different kinds of fruit, including the much rarer variety only found in South America and east Asian countries. Of course it was still a sight to behold, especially as they were the first to uncover an entire island.
But what they didn't know was that they were being watched, eyes were peering from the vast vegetation that shrouded the island from much light. Voices murmured as they watched the researchers take samples to bring back to the mainland and photos as proof of their discovery. They hid as soon as the researchers turned their heads to see if anyone was poking in on their business. "I bet this will make a fine tourist attraction." One of the researchers remarked. "All the fresh fruit you can eat and a lovely sandy beach to lay on and soak in the rays."
But not everyone was keen on the idea. "There's still so much we haven't explored yet, we could be intruding in on someone's home and not even know it." The head scientist argued.
"We can just block off the half we don't know of yet, that way whatever is there doesn't scare anyone and the tourists don't wander off and get themselves killed! All we need now is to find a shorter route to this place and some good advertising."
"I... I still don't know about this."
"Aw come on. What are you so scared about? I thought researchers were like scientists, you don't actually believe there's monsters here, right?"
The head of the expedition wanted to argue back, but it seemed nothing would convince his colleagues that turning an unexplored island into a tourist trap was a bad idea. "We could get a famous group to sponsor us! Doesn't that American band have a song about fruit? Nah, they're probably too busy with their TV show to come on down and have a concert here."
"Unless we get them to perform here! It'll get them renewed for a second season and will definitely throw a ton of cool teen parties here. I'll have to contact their manager about this."
It seems like the head scientist wasn't the only one unsure about a bunch of rowdy teens turning up on an undiscovered island, a blue, stubby arm reached out for him. "Ah! Strange, I could have sworn I saw something there... Ugh, must be the island fever getting to me. Well I should probably head back with the others."
As soon as they set sail back to Britain, the head scientist finally noticed a drop of blueberry juice stained to his hat. "I don't recall being near any berry bushes. I say we forget we ever saw this island and go back to our-"
"Oh will you quit it, Frankie? You're acting more paranoid than the time we were on the search for the mysterious Bloop. And that turned out to be just an iceberg falling apart. I'm sure you got nothing to worry about, even if we do find natives it's not like we'll be doing what Columbus did."
"I know but-"
"Trust me, everything will be fine. If it makes you feel better tomorrow we'll come back here and do a full scout for any locals who might object to this."
"Well if things go wrong you'll have no one to blame for this but yourself."
