"Come!" Nina whispered as they tip-toed to the entrance.

Pyper and Nina walked into the mysterious place. It looked like an ancient artifact or something old. There was weird paintings drawn on the walls, with vines and traps everywhere.

"Uh all of this for ignoring her? Someone holds a grudge..." Pyper said, awkwardly.

"Who has this whole pyramid thing... In their basement? She's a weird one... I can't believe she tried to kill you with beer bottles!" Nina replied.

They creeped along the narrow path looking in both directions, in case some monster would come bolting after them.

"Go left." Nina whispered.

Pyper grabbed on to a long green vine.

"You coming?" She questioned.

"Yes." Nina said as she took a deep breath.

"Hold on tight..." Pyper said as she swung across.

Her hair was flapping on her face, with butterfly's in her stomach. They were swinging super fast.

"AHH!" Pyper screamed.

"SHH!!!" That freaky man can kill us anytime!

Scared, they jumped off the rope and landed on the other side.

"That was a rush." Nina said as she took a sigh of relief.

"Come! I see him!" Pyper whispered.

The bolted over to the man in the cloak.

"WHO ARE YOU AND WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH MY FAMILY!"

The man took off his dark cloak.

"CARTER!?" The man-err- boy was Carter. Pyper couldn't believe what she was seeing.

"Your on their team?!" Nina questioned with anger.

"Team? Please. This isn't capture the flag. I'm just getting revenge!" Carter said as he took out a sharp blade and threatened to stab them.

"Oh puleese!" Nina screamed as she kicked him 4 times.

"Oof!"

Pyper got in the fight as well. She punched him 6 times in the face.

"Ready?" Nina asked.

Pyper nodded her head. They each grabbed one of his hands and threw him over to the ground.

"You don't stand a chance!" Nina exclaimed as they bolted out of the place to get Pyper's family.

"Hurry!"

Nina grabbed Pyper's Mom and Dad. Pyper grabbed her sister, Sara.

"Call 911!" Nina cried.

Pyper called the ambulance.

"Okay they're coming!" Pyper told Nina.

Suddenly, 6 men came in with stretchers.

"Hurry!!" One man said as they carried Pyper's family into the ambulance.

Pyper sobbed. She collapsed to the ground and was bawling.

"They won't make it." Pyper cried.

"Hey Pyper!" Said Joe.

"Joe?" Nina asked.

Joe was kind of a friend of theirs. He was tall, and pretty nice... BUT VERY WEIRD.

"I heard about Rya... Is it true that she is trying to kill you?" Joe questioned with curiousity.

"Yea... I'm kinda scared." Pyper murmured as she started to bite her nails.

"Carter is involved too... Also Emma. Pyper's family is in the hospital right now." Nina said as she sat down on the concrete stairs outside.

"CARTER?! That was unexpected!" Joe said with a big gasp at the end.

BEEP BO BEEP DOO

"Sorry, someone texted me... Who is 587-123-5678?" Joe asked.

"First of all, what kind of ring tone is that?! And second of all, THATS RYA ON ANOTHER NUMBER!" Pyper exclaimed.

"What did she say?!" Nina asked.

"It says:
Are forgetting something, maybe the bus?" Joe read aloud.

"Oh I forgot I have to catch the bus to go to my grandpas house!" Joe said.

"It's a set up!" Pyper shouted.

"I have to go!!" Joe yelled back at her.

"Good luck..." Pyper said nervously.

Joe walked out of Rya's drive way and crossed the street.

All of a sudden, a bus came thrashing through the streets. And guess who was riding the bus? That's right. Rya!

"HELP!!!" Joe cried.

The bus hit him. He was nearly dead on the street.

"CALL 911!" Joe cried.

Nina dialled 911.

"HELP!!! MY FRIEND JUST GOT HIT BY A BUS!!"

"Okay we will be there in a minute."

An ambulance came rushing in and saw him on the street. They quickly got a stretcher and carried him into the ambulance.

Pyper and Nina jumped in the back of the ambulance with him.

When they got to the hospital a doctor game in and got Joe in a room.

Tons of nurses ran into the room.

"CLEAR!" They all yelled as she shocked him trying to revive him.

The doctor came out of the room.

"Excuse me for the words I'm about
to say. Your friend has passed away."
