It's been a few weeks, which includes the friends lunch he has with Minseul and finally getting around to getting over Eunjae even though pictures of her are literally everywhere. But he was finally getting back into a steady routine. Hoseok gathered some papers, preparing for a court date he had. He was going over a mental checklist as he grabbed his briefcase and opened the door. "You've got to be kidding me" he sighed when he saw Eunjae. She flashed him a smile, "Not what I expected. Going somewhere?" she asked.
"We're not dating or engaged. You don't need to know my every move" he said and walked pass her. "I really need you legal advice on something" she said.
"Yeah. Well, get a lawyer" he said while walking away. Eunjae ran her hands through her hair and scoffed as she clicked her tongue. Her phone rang as she pressed it to her ear, "Where are you? You disappeared before I woke up?" Jin asked over the phone. "Went to visit an old friend" she answered while walking out the building. "By old friend you mean your ex-fiance?"
"I just needed an expert advice to help your company and my career."
"We have our own lawyer. And everything's taken care off, and you have a photoshoot in an hour" he said. She stood at her car, holding her keys in her hand. "You'll meet me there right?"
"Yeah. I love you."
"You too" she said and hanged up, climbing into her car.
Hoseok presented his case to the judge as the trial continued, Minseul had some time to spare so she stopped by. After the trial she greeted him with coffee as they walked outside to talk. "I don't think I can ever get used to you in a suit" she laughed.
"What? I look good in a suit" he complimented himself while fixing hit tie. "I didn't say you didn't. It's just weird."
"When Eunjae and I were together she suggested it. Said that I looked hot in one. You know, she's the one that pushed me to be a lawyer" he said. She stared at him, "Is that what you wanted to do?" she asked him. He looked at the coffee in his hand as he thought about it, "I wanted to dance" he answered. The life he's living wasn't his, his dreams were still but dreams and now living some sort of nightmare. "Well a lawyer is a good profession and it proves that you're good at what you do today" she said to lighten the mood and to break the silence. "Well, if you ever need a lawyer. I'll give you a friend discount" he said as he looked at her. "You know, my neighbor keeps throwing her leaves onto my side of the yard" she joked.
The camera light flashed as Eunjae posed, "One more" the photographer said and took the last picture. "That's a wrap" he shouted. Eunjae smiled at everyone as she ran off the ran and went to kiss Jin. "You were perfect" he smiled.
"I know, but thanks" she said and kissed him again, "So. Where are you taking me to lunch?"
"I have to get back to the office, but you can go out with your friends" he smiled at her. She let go of him and took a step back, "I only have one friend" she said.
"Then go out with her. My treat" he said as he took his wallet out, pulling his credit card and handed it to her. She smiled at him, "Since you offered" she said while taking it. He kissed her, "I have to go. See you tonight. Love you" he said.
"You too" she nodded.
"Why do you do that? Is it hard to say I love you too?"
"I did. I have to go change, but I'll see you later" she said while walking to the changing room and into her clothes and skipped to her car to drive over to Hyemi's house. She rang the doorbell as Hyemi answered it, "What are you doing here?" she asked.
"Get dressed, we're going on a date" Eunjae smiled as she held up the credit card. "I can't right now" Hyemi said.
"Mommy" a young girl ran from behind Hyemi and tugged at her pants. Eunjae looked down at the little girl, "Why don't you go play. I'll be right there" Hyemi said to the little girl as she ran to living room. "She got bigger the last time I saw her" Eunjae said.
"Yeah."
"How old is she now?"
"2, you know she looks like you but has Hoseok's personality" Hyemin said as she brushed a few hairs behind her ears. "I gave her to you. You don't have to tell me about her, just drop her off at a babysitter so we can go out" Eunjae said.
"I can't. Parenting."
"Now you know why I didn't want to do it."
"Ever thought about telling Hoseok?"
"No. He doesn't need to know, she's yours. You're her mother, and whatever guy you marry will be her dad. I'm happy with Jin and I really like him" Eunjae said with a smile as she thought about him. "Because he's rich?" she asked.
"No. Because he gets me, he doesn't push me to do something I don't want too. And he's really good in bed" Eunjae teased. Hyemi closed her eyes in disgust, "I don't need to know about your sex life and how good he is-"
"He's really good."
"Okay, I'm closing the door now. Find someone else to hang out with today" Hyemi said as she closed the door.
