You know that feeling where your sweating through every pore in your body, your blood is boiling and your breathing is more uneven than your grandmas sowing and your heart is running more in a minute than you've ran in 30 seconds? That tiny bit of hope where you think its not gonna be you, and you're silently praying and praying and praying that you won't be the first-
"Miss Arcado," Oh dear, "Will you please come to the front and present your speech."
I silently groaned, repeatedly hitting my head on the table. Maybe if I do it hard enough, my head will crack and i'll go to the hospital for 3 months, or if i'm really lucky, I'll die. I started hitting my head harder.
"Miss Arcado," His voice boomed louder this time so I could hear him over the sudden echo of chuckles and whispers floating through the classroom, "I will not ask you again, please come to the front and present your speech."
"Go Avocado." Someone snickered beside me.
"Yeah, he looks like he's gonna BITE your head off." Someone else whispered.
"No," I looked up, am I getting defended- "She's still too ripe." He finished, the whole class burst out laughing.
I scoffed, "Hey that's funny," I turned towards the voice, "That's not at all what your dad told me last night."
The whole class suddenly went silent and I watched in pure joy as Caydens cheeks tinted a light pink.
"Dude," The boy next to him leaned over his table, "That was actually a really good burn-"
"Shut up, Jace!" Cayden shoved Jace's head away with a slight flick of his hand without even breaking eye contact. Jace squealed before smacking lips with the floor.
"Miss Avo-" I whipped my head to him, "Miss Arcado," He continued, straightening his already straight tie, "I will not tolerate that kind of language in my class."
I let out a breath, "Wha- what? I hardly said anything! It was them who started it, I merely responded-"
"Give her ZERO." Someone yelled from the back of the room.
"See!" I exclaimed with my hands in the air.
"Miss Arcado," If he calls me that one more time I swear... "You have wasted atleast 10 minutes of class time, and you refuse to do your speech-"
"I'm not refusing," I defended, "I just don't wanna do it.' I muttered under my breath, scratching my head.
"-and you cut in while I'm still speaking," He continued a little louder, the redness on his face getting a little more prominent by the second. "Now, I am giving you one last chance to present your-"
"By the time you get up there, your mummy's gonna wake up from her grave and-"
"Alright, that's it." I aggressively shoved my chair back, ramming it into the table behind me. A round of 'oohs' echoed around me.
Cayden scoffed, the hint of fear in it a little too miniscule for anyone to notice, "What are you gonna do? Throw an avocado at me?"
The sudden andrenaline that flooded through me made me ignore that comment.
"I'm about to throw fists BITCH," And on that note my fist slammed into his nose. The only sound that came after that was the crack that resound from the impact and the shouts and screams from everyone around me, Mr Millwer's voice slightly louder than theirs as he shouted into the intercom on the wall for backup. He actually used the word BACKUP.
