My great grandmother married a man named Rocky and no not balboa.
It was during the mid 1900s. So they got married and had three sons, the only issue was that my great grandma wanted another girl in the house.
She got pregnant with her fourth child, another son but she miscarried. Then perhaps a few years later Rocky's cousin told my Nana and Rocky that a family member of theirs lost his wife while she was in labor with their 8th child, a baby girl.
He informed them that the baby girl was going to be taken to an orphanage since the family could not afford to keep her. My Nana went to Mexico and asked to have the baby girl.
The father gave her to my Nana, perhaps not because she was an unwanted burden but because he knew that he would still get to see his baby girl because she would still be in the family.
And so my Nana crossed the border from Mexico to America with a baby girl in between her knees with a long skirt draped over. That Baby girl would be named Theresa.
Theresa was raised in east los angeles. she would grow a reputation on the streets for her distaste of being disrespected. Theresa never did drugs and rarely drank to my knowledge.
She got pregnant and had her first daughter, Melanie with a Mexican man name Emmanuel. Her next and last child was with a German man whose name is unknown.
Her child with the German man was named Calypso. She was beautiful when she was born and was the complete opposite of her older sister.
Calypso had golden ringlets and snow as pale as snow with hazel green eyes. She was a baby the many people wanted.
One lady had the audacity to actually try and buy Calypso from Theresa which pissed of my Nana like no other.
Calypso's father was never revealed however and his identity is unknown up to this very day. The only information that was revealed was the fact that he was German.
Melanie was tan with dark brown hair and brown eyes but she was beautiful in her own way. She was naturally skinny her entire life.
When she matured and hit puberty she was still skinny, she just developed large breasts, like a full F cup large with a tiny waist and perky backside.
She was model status and she was a flag girl in high school. She dated the captain of the football team who was also offered to be valid Victorian of their graduating class.
Victor turned it down though so that he could sit with his football friends at graduation. Melanie ended up marrying the idiot who despite having many scholarships went to community college.
he was offered full ride scholarships to great colleges but he stayed in east los angeles. So Melanie marries him and they have their first kid Anna.
A few years later they had their third kid Beatrice. After several more years Victor divorces Melanie and leaves town with his best friend's wife.
Victor job hobs for the next 15 years give or take a few to avoid paying child support and cuts his daughters out of his life.
Melanie is heartbroken and her little sister Calypso is furious for her. Calypso takes her materialistic older sister on a shopping spree to lift her spirits.
Calypso was also very slim naturally and always seemed older than she actually was. She was a genius too but she had a knack for trouble as well.
When Calypso was thirteen or fifteen she ran away from home because she did not get into a magnet high school quick enough.
A little while after she left home she was accepted into a magnet high school. So Calypso fled from east los angeles to South Central.
Being born in east los angeles Calypso had friends who were in gangs. So naturally she stayed with some friends in South Central.
She eventually met a man named Ace and begun a relationship with him. She got pregnant from him at 16 and birthed her first daughter Athena at 17.
Calypso returned to her home with her baby and boyfriend. Three and a half years later they have a second daughter named Delores.
This is the story of my life, quite literally and it all started with smuggling a baby girl across the border.
