"I wish Jun is alive and well, living the life he couldn't live. Let him live, please."
"Do you wish to exchange your life for another?"
A voice said.
And with that,
Mark said 'yes'.
"No one will remember you existed. Are you sure about this?"
Mark nodded.
"As you wish."

so basically mark exchanged his life for jun to be alive again eiomdw 'wishing for another life is too much of a wish'
Theres two reasons why mark is distant. one is because he cant live with the guilt knowing jun loves u and he took you away from july and two is that he knew you've been making paper cranes. He wanted to be the one who completes it bc he knew theres a catch to it (i mean, u cant expect wishing for a dead person to be alive without a catch) so ye. Super long authors note lol.
